Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

18 May

Last week, just as I went to start writing “Behind the Insta-Scenes” my internet speed started to lag; I tried to watch the new Orange is the New Black promo and the blurry quality suggested some kind of wifi issue. And then my router stopped working. In happy news a replacement was quickly dispatched and I am up and running once again (no more setting up camp in my friend’s front room). So long story short is that some of this week’s Instagram round up includes some pictures that were intended for last week.

There’s Cannes glamour (and jet lag), the emotional Jane the Virgin season 2 finale and much more.

Kicking off with Tatiana Maslany in classic Breton stripes and a not so classic Cannes pose. Excellent sneaker game too.

This might be more of what you were expecting from Cannes Instagram and Greg Williams is one of my favorite photographers on Insta; part of this is down to the intimate quality of the shots he gets in crowed places and this one of Caitriona Balfe is stunning.

Mads continues to crush it as one of the jury members and excellent suit wearer. Here hanging out with fellow excellent suit wearer Clive Owen.

One more from Greg Williams and Adam Driver looking cool as fuck.

Mark Mann is another excellent photographer to follow on Insta and here he’s captured Chloë Sevigny’s on point Chanel bag.

Emilia Clarke finds Jon Snow on the newsstand and lists off some very timely political hashtags to boot. Nice to see Kyle Chandler on the cover of Men’s Journal in the background there.

Jason Momoa has very strong positive feelings about the most recent episode of Game of Thrones hitting that ‘co-stars who care about each other’ sweet spot of mine.

Lots of emotions going on after watching the Jane the Virgin season 2 finale. Most involved some form of crying. Also laughing with a dash of yelling “DON’T DO IT” at my screen.

Rogelio’s third best friend gets in on the set photo shenanigans.

I did happen to see this before I watched the episode so I knew there would be some Rose related twist, but I did not see this one coming even with their matching outfits above. I am very happy to have Bridget Regan back even if the thing that she did ends up sticking (I don’t think it will).

Another recent TV wedding that made me sob my eyes out and Hannah Simone’s dress is also stunning even if it no longer lights up.

One of last week’s intended picks and I love this collection of Mindy’s favorite season 4 looks. My personal fave is the very 70s looking patterned pussy bow collar blouse and pants with the plunging party dress as a runner up.

Another one from last week and Allison Williams and Marnie are becoming one on the clothing front.

New UnREAL is so close (June 6!) and I wonder if this means Anna will be popping up this season. Also in a fun life kinda imitates art sitch Johanna Brady is dating Freddie Stroma IRL and I am sure it is already much better than Anna’s relationship with Adam.

A whole lot of shoes for Krysten Ritter to try on and her dog Waffle looks pretty chilled out among all the heels.

This is an ultimate regal pose from Tracee Ellis Ross and everything about this White House visit look is stunning.

Hiatus beard or Kevin Garvey season 3 beard? I am hoping for the latter.

Ending this week on Channing Tatum’s butt because what better way to celebrate the return of my wifi than this.

What is probably going to end up as the musical event of the year took place over the weekend and this week’s Instagram round-up kicks off with this seminal moment. Plus the usual TV season beginnings, endings and everything in-between as there are a whole lot of shows wrapping up and just getting started.

This was a huge weekend for HBO, but rather than dragons it is Beyoncé dominating pop culture conversation after she released her visual tour de force album Lemonade. There is the massive cultural impact as well as the more surface level aspects to pore over like every outfit Beyoncé wears throughout.

Plus plenty of celebrity cameos including TV Ate My Wardrobe favorite Amandla Stenberg and she shared this very cool looking shot.

Zendaya also appeared in Lemonade and instead of a moment from the shoot, here she is enjoying the broadcast of this incredible visual and musical feat.

Lots of shows wrapping up this week with Scandal being one of them and the sight of Angela Bassett is enough to get me to check back in for the finale (although it looks like she might have been there in a non-acting capacity).

There was a lot of wine on The Good Wife this week even by Alicia’s standards and here is fantastic shot of a laughing Julianna Margulies with a glass of red (or most likely grape juice).

Broad City finished its third season last week and here is a very cute photo of Abbi and Ilana from filming the finale.

Those red glasses are very special. I checked back in with The Mindy Project a couple of weeks ago and it will be interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out now they have done that big thing.

Shooting of Top of the Lake season 2 is underway and Elisabeth Moss is reveling in the stunning locations.

And in her incredible new co-star. Okay this photo is a month old and I don’t know how I missed it first time around, but there is too much amazing in this one picture not to share. I am beyond excited for the return of Top of the Lake as it was a big 2013 highlight.

Maisie Williams surprised some UCLA students having a Game of Thrones viewing party by joining them for the season 6 premiere. She even brought snacks, but none of them were dragon egg shape.

A couple of things – I love that Margaret Qualley hangs out with Liv Tyler (who I also think could easily play her sister) and this is a reminder that The Leftovers will soon start shooting its third (and final *sob*) season.

Meanwhile, Justin Theroux continues to work on his fabulous hiatus beard.

Now for the most adorable moment on TV this week and Jane the Virgin costume designer Rachel Sage Kunin crushed it with these 1920s silent movies inspired ensembles.

R U WATCHING!!?? #UnbreakableKimmySchmidt #netflix 😻

A post shared by Anna Camp (@therealannacamp) on

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back and unlike Daredevil S2 I haven’t stalled at the halfway mark (I’ll get back to Daredevil, but there are just so many other shows taking priority right now). Kimmy starts off on the patchy side as one early plot doesn’t quite stick the landing, but the jokes are stacked and so wonderfully random at times. I am still thinking about the Rob Kardashian sock designer reference. Kimmy’s style has given me lots of inspiration for spring and Anna Camp is an A+ guest star choice.

And while we’re on the subject of amazing Kimmy Schmidt guest stars; I yelled WHAT?! so loud at my screen that I had to rewind the scene. Everything about this moment from the deconstruction of Dawson’s Creek to that haircut and costume is perfect.

Season 5 of Girls has been a triumph from Marnie’s wedding to Marnie’s one night adventure all the way to the two-part finale which got me misty eyed on several occasions. One surprise this season was how much they leaned into the Jessa/Adam pairing much to my delight and here Adam Driver definitely has his fighting face at the ready.

From the adorable on the Jane the Virgin set.

To the very surreal and slightly creepy (depending on how you feel about clowns).

While we’re on the subject of creepy here are some of the alternate masks for new clone M.K. on Orphan Black and the new season kicked off on a high. I also wrote an essay about Orphan BlackThe Americans and identity; I would love you to read it.

There has been a lot of Coachella on Instagram this week and Amandla Stenberg is avoiding all the fashion cliches of this festival looking cool as fuck in this very 90s look. Not a choker or flower crown in sight. And this could easily be a new print ad for Calvin Klein; it is that good.

Aya Cash and Kether Donohue’s version of Coachella is much more my speed.

Looking like the back of a gown on Say Yes to the Dress with Aaron Tveit on a photo shoot.

Alison Wright got to wear a wig on TV this week; nope Martha hasn’t gone undercover and instead this is for the HBO movie Confirmation. Here is Wright with co-star Wendell Pierce.

Another costume stunner from Salvador Perez on The Mindy Project.

This is all very exciting and I am so ready for season 2 of UnREAL.

Busy Philipps giving me so many Freaks and Geeks related feelings. The instant I see that blue coat it makes me so very happy. The caption here is also excellent.

While I’m dealing with feelings, here seems like a good place to end this week.

It is that time of year when Emmy related activities are beginning from the Variety “Actors on Actors” series to the most recent FX Upfront screening of American Crime Story. This means a lot of TV stars out and about so along with our usual behind the scenes set antics there is also plenty of promo stuff occurring. Plus a whole array of other events from the week.

Confession – I still have not caught any Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (I know), but I am still super psyched about this Instagram reveal and it is up there on the former roommate scale with Connie Britton and Lauren Graham.

Another amazing group of women and the “Fierce Verse: Feminist as Fuck” event is everything I want from a night of entertainment right down to Amber Tamblyn, Amy Poehler and Carrie Brownstein reading an Entourage script.

Adding “Quinning” to words I want to use more often.

Holly Taylor has ditched her Elizabeth Jennings’ coat and poses up a pool playing storm with her onscreen brother at the FX American Crime Story event last week.

Also at the same FX Upfronts event another pair of co-star cuties.

#CoatGoals and heart eye emoji faces.

Cherishing these Good Wife behind the scenes photos as the end is so close and also looking for clues; is this indicating that Lucca is representing Peter? This is definitely a courtroom scene.

Kerry Washington’s Confirmation tour is all about the floral frocks; perfect for spring sunshine (sorry if you are currently experiencing unseasonable snow where you are this week).

Another shot of this fabulous Kerry Washington dress (and probably my favorite of the four) as she takes part in Variety’s Actors on Actors; Emmy discussion season is upon us and I am always giddy for these one on one conversations and forthcoming roundtables.

Darts are also on the menu as well as actors chatting about actorly things and Rami shines in both the scoring and stripes department.

Uzo Aduba is currently performing on London’s West End in The Maids along side Fresh Meat’s Zawe Ashton and Lady Edith herself Laura Carmichael. The trio hit up the Olivier Awards red carpet and do the selfie thing with Stephen Oremus. Lipstick bonus points awarded to Zawe Ashton.

Now for a very random pairing with Bill Hader and Marcia Clark on stage with Gil and George.

The 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards

24 Feb

Costume design took center stage last night at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards. A celebration that is TV Ate My Wardrobe award season high point as it showcases the incredible talent that has such a big influence on us here.

Film, TV and short-form are all included with period, contemporary and fantasy getting their own TV and film categories (this is the first year in which television has a fantasy option rather than the mini-series/TV one). Plenty of stars were in attendance both in a presenting capacity and to support the costume designers they have worked with and Besty Brandt was the evening’s host.

For the third year in a row Mindy Kaling wore a gown designed by The Mindy Project costume designer and Designers Guild president Salvador Perez; once again it is a look which shows how well Perez knows Kaling’s body and embraces her incredible figure. It is something he has done time and time again on The Mindy Project and of course it is bold in the color choice.Mindy KalingWinners included Michele Clapton taking home the first fantasy television award after winning for Game of Thrones last year when fantasy shared a category with period. Lou Eyrich also won two years in a row for American Horror Story despite a change of category (going from mini-series/TV movie to contemporary) and she can be seen in an incredible black ensemble with Beasts of No Nation winner Jenny Eagan below. Eagan won for True Detective in the contemporary category last year (and was also nominated for Olive Kitteridge).Lou Eyrich and Jenny EaganNon-costume designer special achievements were given to Quentin Tarantino who received the Distinguished Collaborator Award and Cate Blanchett was honored with the Lacoste Spotlight Award. Blanchett is in both films that Sandy Powell is nominated for this year (Carol, Cinderella) and she did not disappoint in her choice of custom Versace with a very impressive Tiffany necklace. Powell also looks fabulous with added mirrored and sparkle details.Cate Blanchett and Sandy PowellIn Blanchett’s speech she acknowledged the importance of working with costume designers saying “Everyone talks about their relationship with the other actors and the director, and of course those are important. But in the end, it’s in those costume fittings; those silent moments away from the rush, where you make manifest the psychological things you talk about in the rehearsal room. It’s the building blocks of a character.”

The Distinguished Service Award was given to master dyer Edwina Pellikka and The Knick’s Ellen Mirojnick not only won for The Knick this year, but she was also the recipient of the Career Achievement Award.Ellen MirojnickMirojnick’s work has spanned over 30 years and projects include many iconic costume moments such as Glenn Close rocking a lot of white in Fatal Attraction, all of those Wall Street suits, the Sharon Stone interview in Basic Instinct, recreating Charlie Chaplin’s famous look in Chaplin, Keanu Reeves in a white tee in Speed and so many flamboyant looks in the recent Behind the Candelabra. Some of Mirojnick’s pieces were on display as part of the stage decoration including Liberace’s incredible (and super heavy) fur coat that Michael Douglas wore in Behind the Candelabra and John Thackery’s signature white shoes from The Knick.Costume Designers Guild AwardsCostume Designers Guild Awards 2016Here is the full list of nominees and the winners have been highlighted.

NYFW Fantasy Costuming: Kate Spade New York Fall 2016 RTW

13 Feb

New York Fashion Week is here and with it the return of Fantasy Costuming. Kate Spade New York is one collection we are always look forward to seeing because you can pretty much guarantee bold color and pattern; the new Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear collection does not disappoint.

For Kate Spade’s last NYFW offerings we concentrated on picking outfits for characters on comedies and while this is also the theme here some drama does sneak in.Kate Spade NY MindyMindy Lahiri is all about the mixing of colours, prints and textures and she’s got a vast collection of plaid coats already so this cape is the perfect addition to her closet. She would also rock the shit out of this pink blouse on The Mindy Project.Kate Spade NY RTW fallMore for Mindy and this is probably what she imagines she would look like if she was a spy. All it needs is a pair of sunglasses and some binoculars to complete the look.Kate Spade RTW FallThis season on Elementary Joan has been embracing all things collar detail with bows and ascots aplenty, which makes this the perfect getup. Joan isn’t against wearing color especially when it comes to bold print dresses and blouses, but black and white attire is her predominant choice and I can definitely see her in leather and stripes. Probably not the swan bag though. Kate Spade RTW Fall 2016Gina Linetti is the TV Ate My Wardrobe sweater queen and stripes are staple sweater material. While Rosa has the leather jacket thing down on Brooklyn Nine-Nine this one is better suited for Gina thanks to the sheepskin detail.Kate Spade NY NYFWSuper cute office wear for Supergirl herself, Kara Danvers.

Kate Spade NY ShoshGirls returns next week and what better time to think about all things Shoshanna than now. Shosh is a fashion chameleon carefully planning her outfits to match the scenario/activity. The black turtleneck has a cool ‘take me seriously’ arty vibe, but the sunglasses and polka dot jumpsuit add a playful edge which suggests a casual date sitch (if Shosh could go on such a thing). I also think she would take a spy aesthetic from at least half of this outfit. Kate SpadeThis is for Shoshanna again and this is either a fancier date or first day at a new job ensemble. The ruffled sleeves add an edge to the prim and proper matching floral scarf and skirt.Kate Spade JTVSpeaking of dates I can see Jane wearing something like this when she goes on her first date with no longer her advisor Professor Chavez. It is funky without being too try hard.Kate Spade RTWFor when New Girl gets its titular character back from jury duty and Kate Spade New York/this dress is ultimate Jess attire. Same with those very cute rosette shoes.Kate Spade Aya Cash part 2This is not a leap, but after seeing Aya Cash rocking a very similar look IRL I now want to see Gretchen show up in something similar on You’re the Worst. It’s not really her usual style, but could work for a fancypants event like a book launch (for Jimmy one day) or something job related.

Stay tuned for more NYFW posts throughout the week.

The Wish List: Joan’s Pajamas on Elementary (Updated!)

19 Jan

Welcome to the first Wish List post of 2016 and super comfy clothes seemed like the best way to kick off this regular feature. Joan Watson is one of the best dressed women on television and season 4 of Elementary has only doubled down on this sentiment balancing her on duty (often patterned) dress wonders with her at home relaxed (okay also on duty) attire. Generally when we do Joan Wish List posts we focus on her eclectic range of dresses and while we do have one of these planned in the not too distant future – there has been so many to covet so far this season – we figured it was about time her pajamas took center stage.

It must cost a fortune to heat the brownstone, but one of my favorite details regarding Joan’s sleeping/kicking it around the house wardrobe is a) she’s always wearing some kind of slippers/bootie socks and b) the trusty comfy cardigan is a vital component.

Elementary 4.08 Joan WatsonWorking from home allows some leeway when it comes to your clothing choices (you should see what combination of everything knitwear I have on right now) especially when sleep gets interrupted. In last week’s episode “The Burden of Blood” Joan is woken in the middle of the night by Sherlock playing a disturbing piece of evidence over and over. There’s no need for getting dressed due to the hour/location and this means Joan pajama delights.

Elementary 4.08 JoanThe matching shorts and top are from Eberjey in “Oyster Grey Textile” and as with a lot of stuff Joan wears (and most characters on TV) it isn’t on the budget end. In fact this reminds me of another brand of sleepwear that cried out to me and that is Three J NYC, which featured on The Mindy Project. Basically I am instantly drawn to super cute pajama sets (see also Mimi-Rose’s J Crew pair on Girls last season).

Returning to the idea and execution of the comfy cardigan and this is a close clothing relative of the wine cardigan. Comfort is key (it is a comfort cardigan after all) and the proximity you keep this item to your bed speaks volumes about its function. There are several in my rotation that perform this role and it can be one you wear out of the house  although a true comfy cardigan is one which probably never sees the outside world. A hoodie also works and a lot of this depends on the time of year/how warm your house is. Plus, the longer the better.

The best thing about the one Joan is wearing in the scene above (sadly I don’t have the exact details of where it is from just yet) is she wore it a few episodes ago (in “The Cost of Doing Business”) thrown over a vest top.

Elementary 4.06Repeat costumes (especially when it is at home attire) ticks all my TV costuming boxes as I love to see a little bit of real world clothing situations thrown in among the expensive designer wear.

Update! So it turns out that Joan has had this red cardigan since season 1! And now I am even more impressed with costume continuity and disappointed in my own observation skills. Thanks to Laura in the comments who sent this link to Joan Watson’s Fashion Blog and a conversation with costume designer Rebecca Hofherr regarding Joan’s “house sweater.”

Update Part 2!

For the second week in a row Joan wore note worthy pajamas and this time instead of grabbing her standard house sweater she instead put on a robe to answer the door to greet Sherlock’s father. There is something slightly less casual about this choice of garment over a well worn cardigan I guess.

Elementary 4.09 Joan Elementary 4.09 Joan robeThe pajamas in question are bolder this week coming from Stella McCartney (and keeping in that high end/splurge bracket even in the sale) and the “Poppy Snoozing” shirt and shorts can be found here. There is even an underwear set if you want to get really matchy matchy.

Stay tuned for more Joan on The Wish List soon!

Nominees Announced for the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards

8 Jan

The nominations keep on coming and the Costume Designers Guild Awards are one of TV Ate My Wardrobe’s key celebrations of the year because they focus on excellence in costume design covering television, film and short form. Instead of one costume design category where period tends to reign supreme these TV and film awards are split into three separate groupings giving contemporary, period and fantasy their chance to shine. The awards will take place Tuesday, February 23 in a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and if it is anything like last year then it will be a very glamorous affair.

We’re going to discuss who has been nominated and the names of those we would also have loved to see get recognized. Plus a fun treat at the end as I was lucky enough to get to see one nominee’s creations up close last year and now is the perfect time to share those photos.

Last year fantasy and period costuming were grouped together when it came to the TV nominees and mini-series/made for TV movie took up the third space. Splitting fantasy and period makes so much sense to me giving a broader scope especially when considering the volume and quality of period shows. Sleepy Hollow does have two nominations in fantasy because there have been two different costume designers (Kristin M. Burke and Mairi Chisholm) at the helm over this voting period and it is about time that this show got some recognition for the incredible collection of contemporary, period and monster attire. The other standout and the show to beat is Game of Thrones and as this is Michele Clapton’s final season this also gives her an added boost.

The period category is where a lot of the big hitters are including Janie Bryant and Tiffany White Stanton for Mad Men’s last hurrah (and another excuse to post a photo of my overall costuming highlight from 2015), Masters of Sex wobbled this year story wise, but the costuming didn’t dip in quality and The Knick is just as mesmerizing from a wardrobe point of view as it is from the way it is lit (and anyone who reads my Twitter feed knows how much I love the lighting). I still need to watch Outlander (I know) and while I couldn’t get on with Penny Dreadful it is easy to see why it has been nominated.

As far as shows I would love to see get recognized when it comes to period attire The Americans is top of that list as Jenny Gering managed once again to weave the spy wear with the at home styling so effortlessly and in a way which really informs the story without feeling like an anthology of everything 80s. Fargo is the other one I am disappointed to see not on the list as Carol Case produced some exceptional work. The same can be said about Giovanna Melton’s work on Agent Carter and this is one of the many examples of a show which could easily straddle two different categories as it can also be counted as a fantasy.

The biggest disappointment for me personally comes in the contemporary offerings and while they are all solid choices – American Horror Story: Hotel is another one which could be defined as more than one genre – I can’t help but feel Christopher Hargadon has been sorely overlooked for his work on Hannibal. Comedy has also been mostly ignored and there are plenty of sitcoms, half hours and those hard to define shows like Orange is the New Black missing out with only Transparent taking up that space. Jenn Rogien for Girls and OITNB, Broad City’s Staci Greenbaum, Wendy Benbrook for You’re the Worst and The Mindy Project’s pattern clashing king Salvador Perez are a few of the comedy options who I would have liked to see up for this award.

Moving on to the film options; Joy and The Danish Girl are two films I watched this week and while I didn’t love either one the costuming is a high point in both. I’m also really pleased to see The Martian up for an award as I’m still thinking about the various pieces of NASA apparel, plus the actual space suits and everything back on earth. It’s no surprise seeing either Carol or Brooklyn in the period category (both of which received a BAFTA nomination this morning) and I’ve been pretty obsessed with all things Carol since I saw it in November.

Fantasy is what really excites me film wise this year especially as most of these will sadly not cross over into Oscars territory; although much to my delight Mad Max is up for a BAFTA. Once again Kurt and Bart delivered big on The Hunger Games even if this one is less decadent and grimier than the other installments. When I saw Star Wars for the second time this week I was once again struck by costume details from Rey’s long gloves on top of gloves to Kylo Ren’s cape and there is so much going on that informs character. Ex-Machina is the little movie that could and yeah I think this is a good time to post this gif showcasing some of the simple, but super effective dancing attire.

Sandy Powell is a double nominee (both here and at the BAFTAs) for two Cate Blanchett movies (Carol and Cinderella) and while I haven’t watched Cinderella I was lucky enough to see the costumes up close and personal at an exhibition in London last March and you can see the photos from that in the gallery below.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

6 Jan

We’ve got New Year’s celebrations covered, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunions galore, costume sneak peeks and a snowy day at work as the weather finally turns cold in this week’s collection from Instagram.

#tbt to right now. Love you sister. Happy new year.

You might already know my feelings about IRL friendships which have developed from pretend ones on screen, but if you don’t then just know that I am so here for all of this. The cast of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants are still super tight including New Year’s Eve hangout tight.

WHERE are my hands?!? #SisterWivesOfTheTravelingPants

Blake Lively is also getting in on the Amber Tamblyn action and this implies that maybe there’s some husband sharing occurring somewhere. Maybe this is a sequel in the works. Lively also gave a shout out to America Ferrera’s new show Superstore and there’s more between these ladies than just the perfect jeans.

#tbt Alexis and Ralph. Love you my sister. Happy new year.

The quality of this shot isn’t great, but I didn’t want to leave Alexis Bledel out of the mix, especially as I just jumped (albeit very late) on board the Gilmore Girls train. Plus I think I might need to give Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants a rewatch.

Captured by @mikemosberg on his LUMIX- he's a real arty guy that guy 🎉 Hey, 2016, you have nice eyes.

More IRL friendships and New Year’s party shenanigans featuring a good level of outfit sparkles, but in this case the real life relationship came before the fictional one (and looks a whole lot happier than the one we see on our screens). Lena Dunham just announced that Girls will end in 2017 after season 6 and I agree that by then it will be time to call it quits. Season 5 returns next month.

This lovely rendition from Charlie Day and Mark Duplass just made me realize that we didn’t even try and attempt to sing Auld Lang Syne this year with the obligatory only knowing a tiny portion of the lyrics and mumble singing the rest.

Looking ahead. Hope 2016 treats you well!

Happy New Year indeed! This kind of denim jacket is my favorite kind (and not just because I have one).

#RelationshipGoals ❤

This was a fun end of year Instagram thing where you can find out your nine most liked photos from 2015 and post them to your feed. Raul Castillo noticed a repeating theme in his selection (my theme was selfies, food and puppies).

For Krysten Ritter there is a whole lot of Jessica Jones, David Tenant and her dog Mikey.

Happy New Year! thanks @michaelmuller7 Leftovers poster outtakes

An outtake from The Leftovers season 2 promo shoot and one which looks far more serene than Kevin’s desperate drowning reach toward Nora.

Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo took over the Costume Designers Guild Instagram yesterday showing off all kinds of behind the scenes stuff including plenty of Prada bags, THE white hat and this selection of Olivia Pope pumps.

Keeping on theme and a very different array of footwear over at The Mindy Project.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine was back last night much to our delight. Good spy like photo taking skills from Stephanie Beatriz with an unsuspecting Andre Braugher in the background.

Expect to see way more Brie Larson (and Jacob Tremblay because this kid can rock a tux) around these parts as award season kicks into full gear. Here are Larson and Tremblay with their NBR awards and I am very much looking forward to sobbing through at least half of Room.
