Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

2 Dec

Lots of behind the scenes love included in this week’s TV Insta selection. Plus big hair, knitwear, grocery tips and some leftover Thanksgiving fun. Enjoy!

The Leftovers continues to be one of the best things on TV this year and the Meg-centric penultimate episode gave this character depth that was maybe missing last season. Here is Liv Tyler taking in the wonderful sites of Jarden, Texas (or probably Austin) in a super cute outfit.

Happy You’re the Worst Day! And while we’re on the subject of penultimate episodes here is another and I just remembered what Jimmy did at the end of the last one. Oh, Jimmy.

Confession – I am still at the same point with Jessica Jones as I was when I wrote this column last week (episode 5) and it is not because I don’t want to watch more, but more like time has got away from me. Regardless, I am still all in on this pairing and photos like this only make me want to marathon the rest of those episodes.

Much love on the set of Orange is the New Black.

A lot has been written about the amazing collection of wigs on The Americans, but the hair department also needs a shout out for this major volume and waves magic on Poor Martha herself. I love that Alison Wright has also adopted this name for her character.

While we’re on the subject of The Americans and hair; here is Holly Taylor showing off her own impressive wavy locks (it runs in this spy family) and like Gretchen Wieners she keeps her secrets in her hair. From the look on her face in this shot it doesn’t look like things are getting any easier for Paige Jennings in season 4.

Getting a different perspective on Jane the Virgin and it can’t be long before Petra is ready to give birth to her twins if this is any indicator. The way this season has dealt with the passage of time has been beneficial so far and avoids the repetition of some story points (there are some that can’t be avoided it would seem when it comes to the central love triangle).

Good Wife group shot from this week’s episode and I am still very much all about Lucca Quinn’s styling. Now to find more out about her character and whether there will be more than dancing with Cary.

Knitwear and the ladies from Girls. I would love to see more from them as a group this season instead of their own separate adventures; however I’m not so sure it would make that much sense for them to be hanging out by now.

For anyone wondering where Robyn is.

Definitely ready for awards circuit domination from this pair.

Alison Pill’s fantastic kitty cat sunglasses would not look out of place on GirlsBroad City or Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Gina would look great in a pair).

Grocery shopping tips from Jenny Slate and not only does this all sound delicious, but the notebook and handwriting make it extra appealing (you should see my scrawled mess of a lists – my stationary is always top notch though).

This cat.

Booze, beach, excellent outerwear and three celebrities that are going to feature on many Best of 2015 lists.

Rounding things off with a like mother, like daughter onscreen edition and the images chosen by January Jones and Kiernan Shipka to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Made even more perfect by them picking slightly different moments, split seconds apart from the same scene.

TV to be Thankful For: A Pre-End of Year List (of Sorts)

26 Nov

There is a lot of TV to be watched right now (#PeakTV) and like many I am in the process of compiling end of year lists (and as I have done in previous years I will be doing my ‘best of’ in a variety of ways) while trying to remember everything that I have watched this year. So this is a preview of what is to come in the following month and hopefully it will jog my very full TV related memory of anything I might miss.

So in no particular order here is what I am thankful for when it comes to TV in 2015:

  • The Hollywood Reporter TV Actress roundtable participants look like this and not this.
  • Comedy shows that explore a broad range of topics which not only make me laugh until I cry, but also invoke full on Claire Danes level of cry face. I am mostly looking at you You’re the Worst.
  • While I’m on the subject of comedies that make me misty eyed; Parks and Recreation ended this season on a high with an episode that pivoted on the Six Feet Under model and caused just as many tears.
  • Cable shows are embracing male nudity beyond just butts (special shout-outs to The Leftovers and The Affair) and all this after the The Comeback had a whole episode dedicated to skewering cable on this issue.
  • Everything Valerie Cherish.
  • Everything Abbi and Ilana.
  • “Looking for a Plot.”
  • Teen girls on The Americans avoiding the usual annoying teen trap many other dramas fall foul of.
  • And that every episode is a lesson in tension and an exploration on marriage and identity. It was my number one show in March and it still is in November (spoiler alert).
  • That Agent Carter got a second season and I now own the same lipstick as Peggy Carter.
  • The master class in acting delivered by Carrie Coon and Regina King on The Leftovers and for every insanely wonderful thing this show is doing. Also for Justin Theroux’s ability to look bewildered and devastated at any given opportunity.
  • The Villanueva women.
  • Getting to see Tatiana Maslany take on even more characters and make me forget she is playing everyone in a scene. And this wave.
  • Kroll Show going out on a high and creating this incredible universe where so many characters overlapped and intersected. And because I can’t say “Oh, hello” without wondering if there is too much tuna and I sometimes inadvertently say ‘Ameezing’ like I’m on PubLIZity.
  • The 12 Angry Men episode of Inside Amy Schumer.
  • Rob and Sharon on Catastrophe (even if the amount of things Sharon says that are like me is reaching a worrying level).
  • Shows that take will they/won’t they situations and turn them into yep they will. Oh hey there Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
  • All of Lady Gaga’s costuming on American Horror Story: Hotel.
  • Fargo indulging my love of all things 1970s clothing.
  • Daenerys’ dragon necklace.
  • The brief but amazing turn by Birgitte Hjort Sørensen on Game of Thrones.
  • Kit Harington Hair Watch.
  • Peggy’s cigarette smoking sunglasses strut.
  • Peggy roller skating.
  • The many times Mad Men made me cry.
  • Sally Draper.
  • Watching Felicity with Julie Hammerle and the time travel arc being even better than I imagined.
  • This Entertainment Weekly cover.
  • Master of None using THAT passage from The Bell Jar (which led to more tears – TV has made me cry a lot this year).
  • Jon Stewart’s last Daily Show (more tears).
  • All the incredible music I’ve ‘discovered’ thanks to shows such as GirlsOITNBMaster of NoneLookingYou’re the Worst and Togetherness.
  • No longer having “Drip Drop” stuck in my head.
  • The lighting on The Knick.
  • Oscar Isaac’s mustache/dad jeans and all the Bruce Springsteen used throughout Show Me a Hero. And, how the thought of this show hits me like a gut punch.
  • Every beautiful/fucked up thing they got away with on Hannibal this season.
  • Queen of ladysuits – Alana Bloom.
  • #LadySuitWatch2015
  • Superheroes on TV.
  • Jessica Jones’ leather jacket and her friendship with Trish.
  • Matt Murdock and this balloon.
  • Pre-emptive Mulder and Scully feeeeeeelings.
  • When Sherlock bought Joan the perfect outfit.
  • Every single one of Diane Lockhart’s statement necklaces.
  • Giving Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson more screen time on The Affair.
  • All the wardrobe inspiration from so many shows this year and the always growing Wish List.
  • That I got to talk to three amazing costume designers and write about it.
  • The range in costume design and shows covered on here includes everything from period to contemporary to fantasy; I am thankful there is a vast amount to discuss and get inspired by.
  • Season 2 of Transparent is almost here!

The list is long and there are probably some very obvious things I have missed. I will get mad at myself later, but for now Happy Thanksgiving!

If you’re looking for Thanksgiving episodes to watch maybe take a rewind and watch these offerings from Felicity and Dawson’s Creek.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

19 Nov

Welcome to another “Behind the Insta-Scenes” and this week we have Looking treats, amazing set decorations, some early holiday cheer and an Americans plot suggestion.

This reaction is why I feel comfortable saying – Brie Larson, just like us.

Pushing Daisies is in my permanent rotation of bedtime watching and so I can’t even deal with this photo that Anna Friel posted yesterday tbh.

The boys, the boys. Does this mean no Dom mustache?

I heart Lauren Weedman so much. Now I have a hankering to rewatch “Looking for a Plot.”

Working on a Sunday feelings.

Sarah Steele gives excellent skeptical face and I am always thrilled when she comes to play on The Good Wife. Will Marissa be happy with her father’s mental state of mind this time?

Now all I want is for Paige to pull a Taylor Swift and spill all her secrets in the form of catchy pop songs. Working album title “They’re Russians.” Clues includes in the liner notes. Might spell out ‘Maple Latte’

https://www.instagram.com/p/-CBPo3KsNl/?taken-by=annetmahendru

Annet Mahendru goes on her own top secret mission scouting out Dupont Circle Travel and all their personal touches. The set dressing detail on The Americans is fantastic as is their collection of family photos.

What every Thanksgiving dinner prep needs.

https://www.instagram.com/p/-A1Zg8B89e/?taken-by=darbysofficial

Moving on to the next holiday and a very different location. Scandal is killing it with the set decoration.

And it is Christmas on Jane the Virgin with a double serving of Mateo in a super cute festive outfit.

https://www.instagram.com/p/-O6uenEmJL/?taken-by=brettdier

Meanwhile, also on Jane these guys are trying out another fashion idea.

https://www.instagram.com/p/-M88B3NMxl/?taken-by=therealhannahsimone

On New Girl they’re bringing back parka chic. And it is working.

Soon!

Closing things out this week with a mostly smile filled Hunger Games selfie. Amazing lipstick game from JLaw.

Throwback Thursday: Angel Wings

5 Nov

On You’re the Worst last week Jimmy oh so delicately named Gretchen’s almost Halloween costume (and Aya Cash’s IRL one) as the “saddest girl at the rave.” This dressing up attire consisted of a pair of orange and gold angel wings sending nostalgic pangs to a time when it didn’t even have to be Halloween or a rave to wear something like this. In a bid to recreate Romeo + Juliet and thereby extending Claire Danes’ influence on my wardrobe choices beyond Angela Chase, I invested not in a pair of stunning white wings, but in a pink set resembling the ones from You’re the Worst.

What I wanted them to look like (complete with fireworks and post dreamy kiss sighs):

[Source]

What they actually looked like:

You're the Worst 2.08Not as outlandish as Juliet’s pair, but easier to work with some flared jeans and a vest/dress worn over the top. Or if it was a very special night my black wraparound skirt. Pulling out the big guns there.

Juliet wasn’t the only famous 90s wing wearer and at my first Glastonbury festival in the summer of 1999, Courtney Love took to the stage in this all pink getup including some wings. Once again they are more spectacular than the pair I owned, but nearer in color and style.

Courtney LoveThis is when “Celebrity Skin” was pretty much a staple in the stack of CDs in constant rotation during this period and this performance was made even more special when Courtney Love got a whole bunch of the crowd on stage including a girl I was camping with. She then proceeded to give my camping buddy her guitar (not the one in the picture above) at the end of the set and I am so annoyed that I can’t find the photo* even if I look a mess (it was taken on the day we traveled home and it had been a long weekend/I’d just got soaked in the rain). This was a huge fucking deal and it extended my wing affection long after the R+J trend (I did also have a Hawaiian shirt because of this movie).

*I will post it when I do – the problem with random shoe boxing storing of old photos is I haven’t kept them in any order so high school is completely mixed in with university. I’m kinda glad that things like Facebook didn’t exist back then (old person ahoy), but it makes finding stuff a little more of a challenge. Relying on memory here.

Update! Found the photo and the cringe levels are high. Why does my rain coat look like a snuggie?

IMG_3018Now I’m not saying bring back the wings even if everything 90s is new again; however I am happy I kept hold of them as they proved useful for Christmas dress up a couple of years ago. I even used the never really worn before halo that came in the pack.

IMG_3014You can take the girl out of the 90s…

So thank you You’re the Worst for this nostalgia kick and just in general for how heartbreakingly good this season has been, even if each episode ends with me curled up sobbing.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

4 Nov

A bumper “Behind the Insta-Scenes” this week including Halloween both on and off set, cast hangouts, reminiscing and dancing. There is always time for dancing.

Everything about this photo brings me so much joy. I miss Parks and Rec.

More Parks behind the scenes delights from Retta and a good reminder that Aziz’s new show Master of None lands on Netflix in two days!

Continuing the Parks and Rec theme and combining it with the musical that like many people I can’t stop listening to at the moment. The fact that Ben Schwartz has Jean Ralphio’s faked death headstone is also aces.

There’s a whole lot of late shoot not so happy face from the B99 team.

And then these face parts expressions.

Entering the Halloween portion and You’re the Worst doubled down on Sunday Funday this season with a fantastic tapestry of scares, amazing costumes, hilarity and relationship drama.

https://instagram.com/p/9hqYa7iMhD/?taken-by=maybeayacash

Which Aya Cash then used as an IRL dress-up solution because why not? These wings give me so many teen flashbacks and I still have a pair stuffed in the back of my wardrobe.

Bowling shoes plus Halloween equals this fun set-up on Sleepy Hollow. Abbie’s Beyonce is one of the best costumes I have seen on TV.

https://instagram.com/p/9hSoCiCtAE/?taken-by=januaryjones

January Jones continues her excellent Insta hashtag game and a spot on look for Halloween.

Best costume from Tatiana Maslany.

Stark sister feels.

https://instagram.com/p/9cFSBkHqsD/?taken-by=maisie_williams

Throwing a Stark brother into the blurry mix – will they ever be reunited on Game of Thrones?

https://instagram.com/p/9evWZ7JQxK/?taken-by=mindykaling

Look who came back to The Mindy Project! Although I still want a talk show with Adam Pally and Ben Schwartz to be more than a onetime thing.

The Flash set looks like a lot of fun…

Even with the slightly questionable snack preferences.

Frankie J. Alvarez shows off some sweet moves in his super tight jeans in this throwback to season 2 of Looking.

https://instagram.com/p/9pdmxACPax/?taken-by=gwynethpaltrow

Woah! Scream Queen spoilers alert! Not really, but now I really want Gwyneth Paltrow to be the killer.

https://instagram.com/p/9o4P7gG_Qu/?taken-by=tavitulle

I haven’t watched this week’s Scream Queens yet and while I keep fluctuating between enjoyment and eye roll toward this show (standard reaction to a Ryan Murphy project) this pairing does raise my interest levels. Now to make the Gwyneth thing actually happen.

https://instagram.com/p/9fDKZhv6bD/?taken-by=maya_kazan

Speaking of horror show and Maya Kazan’s got the most terrifying addition to her look on The Knick.

Part 14 of the real life series entitled ‘A show I need to catch up on before it returns.’

#Latenighthangoutgoals

Ending things this week with this very hypnotic video. And even though I can only see a tiny portion of Elizabeth Banks’ outfit, it already looks like she is killing it on the Mockingjay press tour.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

28 Oct

Before the deluge of Halloween costume photos we’ve got a scare free collection of TV Instagram highlights with far more treats than tricks including LookingYou’re the WorstJane the Virgin and more Daenerys fashion tips.

Welcome to the Looking feels portion of this week’s TV Insta and as the movie starts shooting this week most of the cast are back in San Francisco. It is bittersweet that this charming show is coming to an end so soon, but at least there will be one last final hurrah instead of just getting canceled into oblivion.

It’s not just the romantic pairings that I am heavily invested in and I want all the good things for long time besties Dom and Doris.

https://instagram.com/p/9Jcmv0IQNZ/?taken-by=officialraulcastillo

Back to the beginning and a super cute shot that is reinforcing my confused shipper feelings. Never have I gone back and forth this much on who I want a character to end up with.

Last week’s episode of You’re the Worst answered the Gretchen mystery in a way that managed to make me want to curl up and sob while still delivering on the laughs, which is an incredibly hard line to walk. Kether Donohue posted a tribute to Aya Cash’s stunning performance giving further insight into this episode and nails what makes this such a special show. Plus this photo delivers on Cash as my sunglasses queen.

https://instagram.com/p/9Rv3JJCMr-/?taken-by=maybeayacash

And this is just super cute. Plus there are those Ray Bans again – get on my face. Sunday Funday Halloween tonight!

Dream aesthetic ahoy from Holly Taylor wearing what looks to be an excellent sweater and living the food dream on the set of The Americans. I’ve said it before, but it is easy to buy that Taylor could be Keri Russell’s daughter from her hair alone.

It is also easy to believe that Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett could be mother/son from their excellent matching resting bitch face.

More impressive family casting similarities and this super smiley selfie, while hanging out in Jane’s favorite store is far too adorable.

https://instagram.com/p/9SNVq1wPiu/?taken-by=busyphilipps

All the heart eye emojis because I have strong feelings about bathroom hangouts both fictional and real life.

https://instagram.com/p/9WJsVduqa6/?taken-by=jennyslate

Ideal cute dungarees outfit ahoy from Jenny Slate.

These might not quite go with the spectacular dragon necklace and the other costume embellishments Daenerys wears on Game of Thrones, but they could hide quite nicely under her blonde locks.

https://instagram.com/p/9NXTucvsJs/?taken-by=nasimpedrad

Nasim Pedrad will be back on New Girl next season much to my delight and the guys seem various amounts of pose happy.

https://instagram.com/p/9NHP4HitK3/?taken-by=januaryjones

It is hard to tell where Will Forte’s hair ends and Kristen Schaal’s begins in this intense The Last Man on Earth group shot.

There’s a lot Fitz has done wrong on Scandal, but his suits are always impeccable and designer Zac Posen is also a fan.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

21 Oct

Plenty of singing and dancing from this week’s TV Instagram highlights. Plus costuming sneak peeks and more shows going back into production while others are coming to an end. Ah the cycle of TV (and especially cable shows).

Kicking things off this week with a Pony related treat from Ryan Hansen. Yes please.

Now for something a little scarier from Team Hannibal.

And Mads just being very Mads. Not wearing the mask this time.

https://instagram.com/p/8zYqzwuPjo/?taken-by=realhayleyatwell

Queen of Dubsmash Hayley Atwell with co-star Enver Gjokaj doing the impossible and making “Uptown Funk” feel fresh again. She isn’t wrong about those hips.

Another pair of cuties.

This cast is everything. To watch their PaleyFest panel head here.

Tatiana Maslany switched out her fantastic ruffled Roksanda ruffled jumpsuit (stay tuned for Look of the Week) for something a little more comfy post panel and Donnie himself, Kristian Bruun captured the look.

Jussie Smollett continues his quest to capture Taraji P. Henson in various states of sleeping, singing and dancing.

Alison Bennett wrote last week’s episode of You’re the Worst and the end of “Side Bitch” was just as emotionally devastating as the Gretchen’s trip in the middle of night a couple of weeks ago. Luckily for us Paul himself Allan McLeod has a bunch of sweet photos to soften the blow.

Of course the ChumHum office has a slide. Cush Jumbo’s video also indicates that Lucca Quinn will be sticking around, much to our delight and one of The Good Wife’s most challenging clients will be making an appearance.

Family photo time.

https://instagram.com/p/86Jm4fqsG_/?taken-by=annetmahendru

The Americans won’t be back until the start of 2016, but in the meantime the Russian contingent are sharing some set photos and once again Nina has some fantastic knitwear.

Their characters might be on different continents; however Oleg shares his one-time girlfriend’s love for wool with his choice of tie.

https://instagram.com/p/80zv8zpQ5_/?taken-by=mindykaling

It may not be a Mindy Project behind the scenes picture and yet it still makes the TV Insta cut as this scene made me laugh a whole bunch. And I continue to have Mindy pajama envy.

More amazing costumes from Salvador Perez and I am so here for this yellow Risto skirt.

Even superheroes need to take a break sometimes.

https://instagram.com/p/86l21aoQIa/?taken-by=officialraulcastillo

I am very excited about the Looking movie and Richie baseball cap sneak peeks. If only this wasn’t the end.

Joshua Jackson has a pretty wonderful view from his ‘office.’

Midweek Music: Delivering a Gut Punch on You’re the Worst

1 Oct

Music posts tend to be a Monday thing here at TV Ate My Wardrobe, but the choice of closing credits song on this week’s You’re the Worst was far too good and devastating to wait until next week.

Only read on if you have seen “All About That Paper” because we will be discussing those all important final confusing moments.

Okay, everyone prepared? Last warning.

Gretchen You're the Worst 2.04So where the fuck is Gretchen going in the middle of the night? She scoops up heels, her trusty leather jacket, pants and a burner phone and all while making as little noise as possible so she doesn’t wake a sleeping Jimmy; going so far as starting her car once she has rolled it down the hill. Gretchen clearly doesn’t want him to know where she is going or that she has even gone and even though this is the first time we see her doing this it doesn’t mean this is the first time she has done it.

My first thought is that she’s heading to the sleazy directors house from last season as he has been her first port of call when hitting self destruct in the past and everything is becoming too comfortable despite all their attempts to not become “disgusting normals” or “sweater people.”

This scene is definitely not played for laughs and while You’re the Worst is one of the funniest shows on TV at its core it deals with some pretty profound shit in how we mask pain and fear when it comes to relationships. Lindsay’s attempts to win Paul back are ridiculous and disturbing, but deep down as she explained last week she doesn’t believe she is a good person and this is how she attempts to conceal her self-loathing.

Gretchen spends the episode in what appears to be a good place; she’s comfortable with sending Jimmy text updates about her day (she’s not ‘checking in’) and then meeting up with him for a post work drink. Not to get wasted and end up passed out in some random place, but just a casual couple. And it seems like this where we’re going to leave them this week, until we cut to their bedroom in the middle of the night and the opening bars of “New Skin” by Torres kick in alerting us that SOMETHING IS UP. This song choice is perfect in its growing restlessness and putting us in a position of uncertainty as Gretchen drives away to a destination unknown.

Thanks You’re the Worst for this singer intro and for setting up such a spectacular headfuck.

Best of the Pre-Emmys Parties – #LadySuitWatch2015

19 Sep

One trend we can’t get enough of here at TV Ate My Wardrobe comes in the form of tailored menswear with a feminine spin. The reigning queen of #LadySuitWatch2015 on television is Hannibal’s Alana Bloom and she’s got some real life rivals from the Entertainment Weekly and Variety pre-Emmys parties. This very busy fashion month just got a whole lot busier and with plenty more sartorial treats. Aya Cash looks spectacular in green and blue tartan pairing it with a simple white blouse. Between Gretchen’s buying stuff meltdown (of which someone very near and dear compared me to and I’m not sure how to take that) on this week’s You’re the Worst and this ensemble I am very much doing all the heart eyes at Cash. Someone who is always on point is Ashley Madekwe and she is killing in in this double breasted matching green suit. If you look at Jill Soloway’s outfit for too long it feels a little hypnotic or like an optical illusion from the 1960s, but this is very much in line with her style and I love the buttoned up blouse. #LadySuitWatch2015 isn’t just about the pants and Tatiana Maslany black shorts look is a super chic and a playful twist on this style. And I just remembered that Maslany is nominated for an Emmy. That’s enough to temporarily forget Emmy snub sadness.  This is how you do elements of sheer without making me want to pull my hair out. Plus Amanda Peet has the all important red lip perfection going on. So we’ve entered the jumpsuit portion and while I still have conflicted feelings about this garment type (I still need to try on more than one this year), Beth Behrs in Elisabeth Franchi is giving me nothing but good feelings. There’s something very 70s about Uzo Aduba’s wide legged white jumpsuit and it looks ideal for dancing in, but with plenty of spilling peril.

For the best of the pre-Emmys frocks head here.

NYFW Fantasy Costuming: Styling Comedies with Kate Spade New York

12 Sep

Fall TV is so close and New York Fashion Week is already looking ahead to Spring 2016 and so the time has come for some more Fantasy Costuming. Starting with a very colorful and playful collection from Kate Spade New York which is ideal for comedy shows such as the The Mindy Project, The Unbreakable Kimmy SchmidtNew GirlJane the Virgin and even You’re the Worst (there are leather jackets and super cool sunglasses). Comedy utilizes bold costuming with a strong color palette and plenty of patterns because I guess it might be considered inappropriate to wear outfits like these in court or while trying to solve crime or something. Kate Spade New York definitely does the bright thing and then some giving us something to smile about.

The novelty bag trend for Kate Spade continues with a whole array of animals and objects with the Admit One clutch going to the top of the covet list. If you’re after something a bit more traditional then there are plenty of non-novelty purses with some incorporating the signature daisy motif from this collection.

Here are some of the standout looks that would look ideal in some current and sadly gone too soon sitcoms.

Kate Spade car bagSparkles for Mindy on The Mindy Project and perfect for festive party season.

Kate Spade trench part twoAnd a workplace look for Mindy. Maybe not quite enough pattern clashing here.

Kate Spade flowerNew Girl won’t be back until mid-season, but this is perfectly Jess.

Kate Spade Pushing DaisiesAnd Jess is a character that probably would own a dog shaped purse and this gorgeous super girly floral full skirt.

Kate Spade playsuitSticking with New Girl and Cece is definitely a fan of the patterned jumpsuit.

Kate Spade rainbowOne character who really embraces every candy color possible is Kimmy Schmidt and a lot of this collection would fit in her wardrobe (if this character suddenly got a pay rise). Or a cute outfit for Jane the Virgin’s Petra as she does love a cute short short.

Kate Spade admit oneThe bag I am a little obsessed with and a dress for Jane on Jane the Virgin for post-maternity wear.

Kate Spade daisy shortsThis has Eliza from Selfie written all over it and now I am super sad about the lack of Henry/Eliza resolution. Yes I’m going to go listen to “Chandelier” again. It would also be perfect for Petra and her stems.

Kate Spade CapeI would love to see Petra pull a dramatic turn and wear a cape. Or I would like to see this cape in my closet.

Kate Spade stripe skirt

This skirt is maybe slightly longer than Gretchen’s usual style on You’re the Worst, but if we borrow one of the leather jackets from the galley below then it is certainly edgy enough for her work place attire.
