Best of the Pre-Emmys Parties – #LadySuitWatch2015

19 Sep

One trend we can’t get enough of here at TV Ate My Wardrobe comes in the form of tailored menswear with a feminine spin. The reigning queen of #LadySuitWatch2015 on television is Hannibal’s Alana Bloom and she’s got some real life rivals from the Entertainment Weekly and Variety pre-Emmys parties. This very busy fashion month just got a whole lot busier and with plenty more sartorial treats. Aya Cash looks spectacular in green and blue tartan pairing it with a simple white blouse. Between Gretchen’s buying stuff meltdown (of which someone very near and dear compared me to and I’m not sure how to take that) on this week’s You’re the Worst and this ensemble I am very much doing all the heart eyes at Cash. Someone who is always on point is Ashley Madekwe and she is killing in in this double breasted matching green suit. If you look at Jill Soloway’s outfit for too long it feels a little hypnotic or like an optical illusion from the 1960s, but this is very much in line with her style and I love the buttoned up blouse. #LadySuitWatch2015 isn’t just about the pants and Tatiana Maslany black shorts look is a super chic and a playful twist on this style. And I just remembered that Maslany is nominated for an Emmy. That’s enough to temporarily forget Emmy snub sadness.  This is how you do elements of sheer without making me want to pull my hair out. Plus Amanda Peet has the all important red lip perfection going on. So we’ve entered the jumpsuit portion and while I still have conflicted feelings about this garment type (I still need to try on more than one this year), Beth Behrs in Elisabeth Franchi is giving me nothing but good feelings. There’s something very 70s about Uzo Aduba’s wide legged white jumpsuit and it looks ideal for dancing in, but with plenty of spilling peril.

For the best of the pre-Emmys frocks head here.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

14 Aug

Summer TCA continued this week with the Showtime ladies coming out in style. Plus more magazine delights and other various events.

Ruth WilsonRuth Wilson put a bird on it in this fabulous flamingo Valentino caped sleeve mini frock at the CBS, CW and Showtime TCA party. Insert all the heart eye emojis here while I go sip on a margarita and dream of this dress.

Lizzy CaplanOpting for the same Valentino Resort 2016 collection is Lizzy Caplan with those same flamingos appearing in a moodier setting. The skirt looks like a painting and Caplan red carpet styling is always such a revelation. It is a shame either Caplan or Wilson have been nominated for an Emmy this year because they both always bring it whether it is a big or small occasions.

Allison JanneyAllison Janney has been nominated for two Emmys this year (for Mom and Masters of Sex) and she is serving up simple chic vibes at the TCA event where she was also pulling double duty for these two shows. Her arc on Masters of Sex has been quietly devastating for the third year in a row.

Keri Russell TCAThere is a Keri Russell shaped hole in my viewing now that the Felicity watch is over and The Americans won’t be back until the start of next year; I was thrilled to see her at the TCA Awards where The Americans was deservedly being honored (pay attention Emmys). Russell does effortless cool with a twist so well and this beaded kimono inspired Zuhair Murad gown does just that.

Amandla Stenberg#LadySuitWatch2015 alert! Amandla Stenberg covers the new autumn issue of Dazed and I can’t wait to pick up an issue. Stenberg talks about taking teens seriously (continuing the current Dazed trend of talking to smart teens like Maisie Williams and Lorde) saying “I think people discredit teenagers and how wise they can be. Sometimes I meet teenagers who are much wiser than many adults I’ve met, because they haven’t let any insecurities or doubts about themselves get in the way of their thoughts.” Plus she also discusses Tumblr as a social justice platform after her powerful “Don’t Cash Crop My Cornrows” video.

Great GerwigMistress America is out today and I am so unbelievably excited for this film and all things Greta Gerwig including this Time Out New York cover.

Aubrey PlazaI need this Ann Taylor* jacket in my life and it will come to the shock of pretty much no one that I have strong positive feelings about an Aubrey Plaza outfit (except those shoes). This is perfect panel attire for a Sundance NEXT FEST event which Plaza co-moderated with Silicon Valley’s Thomas Middleditch.

*Instantly reminded of the Parks episode “Ann’s Decision” where April borrows Leslie’s clothes and says “I don’t know who Ann Taylor is, but I hate her and want to kill her.”

Uzo AdubaEnding the week with Uzo Aduba looking radiant in so much bold color in a knockout Carmen Marc Valvo dress and thankfully there is not a nude pump in sight; opting for these amazing blue Manolo Balinik heels instead.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

5 Aug

If there was a “Behind the Insta-Scenes” theme this week it would probably be #SquadGoals. A lot of shows are now back to work and getting their promo on as fall season looms, but there are also plenty of vacation shots occurring.

Brie Larson joined Instagram last week and this human pyramid of lady greatness is one of her first photo offerings. The only time I’ve been involved in one of these was at Reading Festival about 10 years ago and surprisingly no one was hurt (I am ultimate clumsy). I did see a far messier one at the wedding I attended this weekend, which is what happens at 1 am. Larson also shared this excellent shot from the Jenny Lewis “One of the Guys” video.

And the inspiration! Oh to be on vacation in the Hamptons with Amy Schumer and JLaw.

Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t bored of Carrie Bradshaw’s signature drink.

#RelationshipGoals

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is guest starring on the forthcoming season premiere of The Mindy Project as (spoiler alert) Mindy’s husband. Say what?! Well, Mindy is very not pregnant in this party shot (super hot dress BTW) and Sliding Doors is the inspiration for this alt-reality setting. If you read our Felicity discussion posts you will know I love a ‘road not traveled’ exploration. Although interestingly enough I have never seen Sliding Doors the whole way through.

https://instagram.com/p/5w20XFpQ6T/?taken-by=mindykaling

Because Mindy Lahiri is most definitely pregnant and wearing a very fetching Salvador Perez orange ensemble while shooting a subway scene. This is only adding to my current craving for orange clothes. Kaling is really great at showing sneak peeks of the amazing costuming and hopefully the premiere date will be announced soon.

This image of Taraji P. Henson is everything and needs to be printed on t-shirts/mugs/fridge magnets.

Double Cookie for your pleasure this week and Empire is another highly anticipated returning show.

Alan Cumming is back in full Eli Gold garb and hopefully this caption means big things will be happening for this character in season 7.

The first full length You’re the Worst promo was released this week just as shooting the second season comes to a close. I heart this cast so hard.

Break out the dance party as Playing House is back. Here is a stunning photo of Lennon Parham laughing it up backstage at Late Night with Seth Meyers.

It is Jon Stewart’s last week on The Daily Show and I’m feeling pretty emotional about it to be honest. Going to watch it being filmed back in 2010 was an experience I never imagined I would have and it was even more wonderful than expected. Here is the always incredible Jessica Williams with her boss in the background. Enjoy this truly excellent segment from last night’s episode.

There are going to be plenty of these kinds of shots this week (I expect Instagram to be awash with Daily Show photos tomorrow) and Amy Schumer is doing the waiting in the wings thing before she goes on. Schumer also explained just how the JLaw boat hangout went down.

Selfie love from the Orange is the New Black ladies all in costume.

And another OITNB delight to round off this week’s “Behind the Insta-Scenes.”

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

31 Jul

Summer TCA is here and this means whole host of panel attire – think smart/casual or what you might wear for a nice lunch date – and animated sitting down shots. Plus a red carpet outfit that has me all excited for an event I am going to at the weekend.

Uzo Aduba and Taylor SchillingDay 1 was all Netflix including some of the Orange is the New Black ladies and it is Uzo Aduba’s colorful L.K. Bennett print frock which is the panel standout. Taylor Schilling’s brown pants and tri-color blue top is actually a 3.1 Phillip Lim jumpsuit (sitting down makes it hard to tell) and it is relaxed cool. Nicholas Kirkwood T-bar pumps add a touch of glam to her look.

Natasha Lyonne and Selenis LeyvaI miss you Nicky! Natasha Lyonne and Selenis Leyva are all about the LBD and fantastic shoes.

OITNB TCAAnd here is a wide shot of the cast in attendance showing the range of style choices and my other favorite pairing with Lea DeLaria and Taryn Manning sitting on the far right.

Kimmy Schmidt TCAThe costuming on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a color wheel explosion and Titus Burgess is bringing it in a pink shirt and bow tie. He is indeed flawless. Teal is a great choice for Ellie Kemper and Tina Fey’s pants and sleeveless blouse are perfect TCA threads. Would also look really great at the office.

The Leftovers TCASeason 1 of The Leftovers is messy in places, but the stuff that is really great is really great and this is why I am so excited for October 4 when the show returns. At the TCA panel returning cast members Justin Theroux and the devastatingly good Carrie Coon were joined by new regular Regina King (I am still sad about Southland’s cancellation) and both ladies look delightful in such bold colors. Theroux scrubs up rather nicely too in a stripe short sleeve Henley.

Carrie CoonAnd a closer look at the texture of Carrie Coon’s dress. Now this is the kind of sheer elements I like and one occasion where nude sandals are the best choice.

Rebecca FergusonComplicated feelings about jumpsuits aside as this navy wrap Diane von Furstenberg ensemble worn by Rebecca Ferguson at the Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation London premiere is spectacular. As is her performance in the film which I saw yesterday; it is so good to see a woman kicking this much ass and not being the damsel in distress. She gave me all the Sydney Bristow feels. Such a good twist on menswear tailoring (and you know how much I love a lady suit).

Now here comes the personal bit and DVF garments have often graced these pages with the wrap dress being an item I have desired for a long time. I am attending my soon to be brother-in-law’s wedding tomorrow and for the occasion I will be wearing Diane von Furstenberg. There will be a much longer piece to follow because this is probably the most TV Ate My Wardrobe story there is; as you can gather I am very excited about this.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

24 Jun

Midweek TV treat with a collection of some of the best Instagram posts including the Orange is the New Black cast returning to set for season 4, plenty more You’re the Worst shenanigans and saying goodbye to Orphan Black for another year.

https://instagram.com/p/4C3HZlyasH/?taken-by=americaferrera

Happy Ice Cream Truck Day! Raul Castillo and America Ferrera taking a break from filming their new Ricky Gervais Netflix series Special Correspondents. From this pairing alone, count me in.

Another super cute couple and the Orphan Black season 3 finale gave Helena several much needed victories including a brief hookup with her beau Jesse. They make a fetching couple even if Helena is wearing a mishmash of Alison’s clothes.

He wasn’t in the finale (I suspect there was some Game of Thrones filming overlap) but Michiel Huisman made sure he sent thanks to the Clone Club.

Silly string at a glance looks like a scratch filter to give a photo that old timey feel (even when it is pink) and Jussie Smollett celebrated his birthday with a large portion of the Empire cast.

Adorable Part One

Great things once again from the cast and crew of You’re the Worst and it has become the norm that I can’t pick just one photo. A season 2 premiere date would be lovely, please and thank-you.

Adorable Part Two

Super cute/sexy summer floral dress from Kether Donohue.

The boys! Oh hey Paul!

https://instagram.com/p/4R6ma6CtN6/?taken-by=januaryjones

I would always bet on Betty.

You might still be watching season 3 of Orange is the New Black but the cast are already back on set for season 4. Best news is Lea DeLaria has been bumped up to a regular and Boo’s friendship with Doggett is one of the strongest aspects of the current batch of episodes. Heartbreaking, touching and hilarious in equal amounts.

https://instagram.com/p/4SK_BUG6J1/?taken-by=msjackiecruz

More OITNB S4 onset antics and this one features a whole lot of hair (I was also a big fan of the Flaca storyline in season 3).

And here are the ladies in costume for an appearance on Good Morning America; it is really jarring how different they look with their hair done for morning TV rather than in character.

What I’m inferring from this is Jenny Slate is going to be on the next season of Girls* and her hair looks all kinds of amazing. And that prop joint does seem a little on the large side, unless of course they are going for a Withnail & I ‘Camberwell Carrot‘ approach and then it might be a little too small.

*Turns out I had forgotten that Slate appeared in season 1 as Hannah’s frenemy, Tally Schifrin from college who we met at her book launch for “Leave Me Alone.” Hopefully she will be reprising this role and this non-remembrance also tell me that I need to rewatch season 1.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

12 Jun

Premieres, pre-gaming the Emmys and the first official onset photo from the revival I have already been endlessly talking about are all part of this week’s edition of “Out of the Box.”

Anna Faris and Chris PrattInstant cheering for Anna Faris in an amazing metallic long sleeve mini Rubin Singer dress and it contrasts well with husband Chris Pratt’s blue suit and check shirt combo. They really are the most adorable at the Jurassic World premiere.

Lauren LapkusA close runner up in the adorable stakes is former Orange is the New Black correctional officer Lauren Lapkus and she looks delightful in a super chic LUBLU Kira Plastinina. At first glance the shoes look a little matchy matchy until spotting the iridescent nature of the Andrew Gn pumps. OITNB is back today (!) but sadly I don’t think we will be seeing Fischer (if her IMDb page is anything to go by).

Uzo AdubaIt’s hard knowing all of OITNB season 3 is available to watch and not having seen a single one yet (this will be a different story in a couple of hours hopefully), but Uzo Aduba is soothing those woes in a color blocking delight at last night’s ‘Orangecon’ fan event.

Samira WileyAnd Samira Wiley also looks really lovely by doing the summer dress thing.

Naomie HarrisPeter Pilotto can be hard to pull off as there tends to be a lot going on, but Naomie Harris does just this while attending the UK Entourage premiere (I had avoided acknowledging this movie until now) reminding me there is a new Bond press tour which Harris will be part of in the fall. Cue much anticipation.

Ilana glazerA couple of months ago Variety gathered a whole host of actors from comedy and drama to discuss the roles they play in the ‘Variety Emmy Studio.’ Now the videos are being slowly rolled out and with that come the official portraits. I really love this shot of Broad City’s Ilana Glazer which reads like an amused “what?!” statement with excellent eyebrow and statement jewelry game.

Keri RussellA soul piercing look from Keri Russell and a quote focusing on how Elizabeth dresses on The Americans versus her own style “I wear these silk shirts and high-heeled boots and I feel like that armor has become very much a part of that character to me. I feel very panther-like. It’s much more grown-up than I look in real life. I like the way it makes me feel. It’s much tougher and cooler than I am, than Keri actually is.” For more from the Drama Actors including co-star Matthew Rhys head here.

Gina Rodriguez

Nailing what makes Jane the Virgin so special is Gina Rodriguez who also happens to be rocking the shit out of this cute pose/dress “I feel so lucky that in a scene, the way (Jennie Snyder Urman) writes, I can go from comedy to drama within literally a minute and a half. And it’s so freeing, and I get to stretch my wings and practice and live in my craft and fly.” My tears that flow coupled with all the laughter while watching pretty much episode is a sign this is working.

The X-Files first lookI don’t know if I was more excited by this first shot on set as tweeted by the official X-Files account, the pap photos of Mulder and Scully together again or when I found out that Hannibal costume designer Christopher Hargadon is also working on this X-Files revival. There’s been a lot of excellent moments for an X-Files fan this week even if January seems so far away.

Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set

10 Jun

If we were giving out an award for Best Cast on Instagram it would probably be a two-way split between Orange is the New Black and You’re the Worst; this week’s Behind the Insta-Scenes is dominated by these two shows. Plus a few other treats including the return of a Very Important show.

https://instagram.com/p/3ikjjUuyPk/?taken-by=tayjschilling

Orange is the New Black is back on Friday (two days to go!) and some of the cast were in Paris last week to promote the new season. Going full tourist in this beautiful shot with blue skies, pretty dresses and the Eiffel Tower.

Followed by a trip across the ocean to Brazil and Uzo Aduba was joined by Natasha Lyonne and Samira Wiley on the Netflix float at the Brazil Pride Parade. Excellent sunglasses and houndstooth action. Plus plenty of dancing I’m sure.

Post Pride bathroom selfie game is strong.

https://instagram.com/p/3g0_g0JqPs/?taken-by=daniebb3

Gathering a whole host of supporting actors as part of The Hollywood Reporter’s Emmy season and Danielle Brooks gets the best shenanigans partner in Empire’s Jussie Smollett. Work that green feather boa. And I’m totally feeling the beardy snarl face.

Well isn’t this the most adorable?!

We are entering the ATX Television Festival portion of this week’s highlights and the You’re the Worst team documented their time so well that I found it hard to whittle down which photos to use.

The new ‘squeezing as many people into an elevator’ selfie option. Just look down.

https://instagram.com/p/3nZuaFCMjy/?taken-by=maybeayacash

“Fan girling the fuck out on her” sounds very appropriate in this situation. Also Adrianne Palicki is tall.

#SquadGoals

Creator Stephen Falk gives a good array of shots from the event including Kether Donohue’s cute yellow dress. Despite there being no barbecue photos in this collection just the mention gives me an instant craving.

This is also a very appropriate reaction from Mae Whitman. I would have zero chill in this situation.

The revival of The X-Files in the Instagram age is pretty much the ideal. See also Tumblr which is already delivering with the spoilery filming photos which I can’t resist looking at (click if you dare).

A good portion of my Instagrams are around this theme (TV watching/booze) so I am taking Diane Kruger’s Tony watching prep as a ‘stars – they’re just like us’ moment.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

5 Jun

Despite how much print has been in decline in recent years magazine covers still possess the power to make a huge impact and the July issue of Vanity Fair demonstrates just how important old media still is (while being unveiled on social media). This has also been an awards show filled week with the Peabody and Glamour Women of the Year celebrations taking place. Plus all your polo watching sartorial needs are covered.

Caitlyn JennerHi Caitlyn, it is so good to meet you! This is a stunning cover for many reasons and while plenty has been said about how amazing Caitlyn Jenner looks all glammed up it is also important to remember this is about far more than just external beauty. Laverne Cox addresses this on her Tumblr and it is essential reading.

EssenceSpeaking of Laverne Cox here is she is with some of her Orange is the New Black co-stars (just one week until new episodes!) on the cover of Essence all dressed in the color of their show. What’s great about this cover is the number of women featured (Danielle Brooks, Samira Wiley, Adrienne C. Moore, Laverne Cox, Uzo Aduba, Vicky Jeudy) and that it is celebrating ‘sexy at every size’ styling each women in a dress for their figure. Body positive feelings happiness.

Amy Schumer and Tina FeyMoving on from magazines to awards with Amy Schumer receiving a Peabody for Inside Amy Schumer from Tina Fey (on stage there was smooching) with both ladies opting for black. Schumer’s LBD is tuxedo inspired which automatically gets all the points from me.

Kerry WashingtonThe UK Glamour Women of the Year Awards look like a whole lot of fun if the Instagram shots are anything to go by and this is reflected in the red carpet attire with Kerry Washington going for 70s disco infused tube top and glitzy David Koma skirt. Now I want to go out dancing.

Gillian AndersonI don’t know if I would love this on anyone but Gillian Anderson and a tulle cape is so playful and so dramatic that I can’t not smile. Extra giddiness comes from the return of Hannibal last night and all the incredible Bedelia costuming.

Emma WillisSimple chic from Emma Willis and she never disappoints on the red carpet. While it isn’t quite Roksanda levels of stunning as last year’s the blue neck detail and texture elevates it.

Diane Kruger and Joshua JacksonTV Ate My Wardrobe’s official Best Dressed Couple crown wearers continue to please in every single way with Diane Kruger’s magical fashion unicorn status remaining intact in vintage Roland Mouret at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. Joshua Jackson’s grey suit is impeccable and there are no words to describe how he is looking at her.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ruth Wilson, Emma RobertsCulottes are a returning trend that has me invoking a loud WHY?! but Ruth Wilson is making me consider them as a fashion choice because she manages to look pretty damn cool while watching polo last weekend. Basically this event includes actresses wearing clothes I might normally be dismissive of that on this occasion look super cool. Maggie Gyllenhaal is working a pink suit with a white crop top with a pair of highly covetable sunglasses. And Emma Roberts’ yellow dress is something I would like in any sun soaked setting. Cute leopard print bag too.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

22 May

The TV season might be coming to an end as many shows have aired their finales over the last few weeks, but there are plenty of red carpet events and screenings as Emmy chatter is only just beginning. One of the major events this week was of course the end of Mad Men (and you can read all my tear stained thoughts here) and another chance for the cast to show off their sartorial prowess. While we have already documented Mindy Kaling’s Cannes fashion parade there are a few more pretty frocks to show off.

Kiernan ShipkaKiernan Shipka has been a revelation in her performance as Sally Draper and I really can’t wait to see what she does next. She has also consistently been the best dressed cast member and she’s still only 15. Please Hollywood, treat her kindly. At the Film Independent screening of Mad Men she wore a very cute Valentino white ruffled frock which complements both her age and look.

Elisabeth MossAs with Peggy Olson, Elisabeth Moss has really upped her style game over the last few years and this is a simple and fun outfit. The metallic belting is an edgy touch and I love the splash of color with the orange peep-toe pumps, even if they don’t entirely go with the rest of the ensemble.

Amy PoehlerBack to Cannes and the Inside Out premiere with another metallic belted beauty; Amy Poehler sticks with Stella McCartney and it pays off.

Melanie LaurentThe Cannes red carpet photos have a habit of looking both overwhelming and incredibly romantic in a classic movie star way. This shot of Melanie Laurent falls in the latter camp and her super sparkly Zuhair Murad Couture beaded frock is adding to this effect.

Diane KrugerAnother Cannes stunner and TV Ate My Wardrobe favorite; Diane Kruger has gone for an ethereal Prada frock for the Maryland premiere. Here she is with co-star Matthias Schoenaerts who, in not shocking news scrubs up well for the red carpet (everyone should go see Far From the Madding Crowd which is very good for reasons that also include Schoenaerts).

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter SarsgaardMaggie Gyllenhaal is deservedly once again receiving praise and accolades for her portrayal of Nessa Stein in last year’s exceptional mini-series The Honourable Woman including at this week’s 40th Annual Gracie Awards. Wearing a super chic black Alexander McQueen gown with killer cuff detail and red lipstick to swoon over Gyllenhaal poses with husband Peter Sarsgaard.

This has been a week where actresses have been confirming how awful Hollywood can be with Gyllenhaal’s comments about how she is too old at 37 to play a love interest for a 55-year-old – Amy Schumer’s ‘Last Fuckable Day‘ sketch is far too real –  and Salma Hayek spoke at length about the many obstacles she has faced in this industry.

Chelsea PerettiIt’s not just Chelsea Peretti’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine character Gina that gets all the style love from us here and at the Webby Awards where Peretti won Outstanding Comedic Performance (for the Netflix special Chelsea Peretti: One of the Greats) she wore a super hypnotic all the stripes Mason by Michelle Mason frock.

Rose ByrneKeeping things casual cool on the Red Nose Day red carpet is Rose Byrne. Those pants look like they could be satin and yet somehow she is making them work.

Kerry WashingtonAt the Disney International Upfronts Kerry Washington also goes for a relaxed funky outfit and what appears to be a sweater and skirt is actually an Alexander Lewis dress. The green shimmer from her Le Silla shoes goes wonders with the metallic stripes.

OITNBThis Orange is the New Black group photo at a For Your Consideration screening and Q & A this week is delightful for several reasons including 1) Jenji Kohan’s dress, 2) so many good outfits/range of styles and 3) as a reminder that the new season is less than a month away.

Amazing Outfits Aplenty at the Variety Emmy Studio

31 Mar

Award season has only just wrapped up, but there is another coming in a few months time and the Emmy chatter hum is already starting. The red carpet is part of why I adore award season, the other is all the pre-gaming with endless roundtables and GoldDerby one-on-one interviews. The actual winners and ceremony is far down the list and this is reserved for mostly outrage at the omissions.

Variety host an annual Emmy studio and while they have favored panels in the past (and they might still go down this route) over the weekend a variety of comedy and drama stars from network, cable and streaming platforms interviewed each other. While these videos aren’t available to watch just yet – I will definitely be discussing/posting those when they do – we can see what everyone was wearing and it is safe to say they ladies are killing it.

Don, Claire, Lizzy, AllisonA Showtime foursome (although Allison Janney is there for Mom) with Don Cheadle, Claire Danes, Lizzy Caplan and Allison Janney. Claire Danes is wearing a fabulous check Erdem frock complete with the requisite pocketed goodness. Caplan’s lipstick game is strong with Janney’s glasses earn best accessory. And like most of the dudes at this thing Cheadle looks good, but in pretty standard attire.

Variety panel - Fred, Abbi, Ilana, CarrieThere is a lot of “Yas Kween!” about this photo from Abbi Jacobson’s floral and leather jacket combo, the crop top/necklace pairing Ilana Glazer has opted for and Carrie Brownstein’s pink lipstick and tuxedo jacket. You look fine too, Fred.

Maggie and LievReally excited to see Maggie Gyllenhaal taking part and talking The Honourable Woman as it was one of my favorite performances of last year. And Gyllenhaal is looking lovely in print with Liev Schreiber getting a whole lot of stripe sock points.

Jessica and TaylorI love how giddy Taylor Schilling looks next to Jessica Lange while her all black ensemble with leather pants is exudes cool.

Jane and ViolaMajor style and legend status at play here with Jane Fonda and Viola Davis; this is one chat I can’t wait to see.

Jeffrey Tambor and JLDAnd I really want to know what’s going on in this photo to make Jeffery Tambor look so concerned. Orange is a really great color on Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Director Variety chatThrilled there’s going to be an all women director’s discussion with Gail Mancuso, Jill Soloway, Lisa Cholodenko, Lesli Linka Glatter (director of Now and Then! Plus a whole lot of TV faves) and Michelle MacLaren. This will be another ‘soon as the video goes up I will post it on here’ situation. Ace floral and stripe top from Jill Soloway.

Uzo and Gina VarietyWell, this is just the best and there is so much joy to be had from Gina Rodriguez and Uzo Aduba taking a selfie together. Both women are in A+ dresses and that color on Aduba is everything.

Kerry Washington VarietyLove Kerry Washington in Giambattista Valli pattern clashing polka dot/floral frock and that she’s gone for a colorful pair of lace pumps.

Taraji and MindyAnother selfie and amazing outfit duo with Mindy Kaling and Taraji P. Henson. Vibrant yellow on Henson is stunning and Kaling’s matching skirt and top is super pretty.

Julianna MarguliesSticking to a designer favorite is Julianna Margulies in Narciso Rodriguez and this classic monochromatic take is really working for The Good Wife star.
