Out of the Box: Look of the Week

22 Aug

Emmy weekend is here! Or rather Emmy Monday is a few days away in a slightly different month/day switch (blame football/VMA’s). “Out of the Box” is kicking things off early with an Emmy themed edition and the best looks on display at part one of the 2014 Creative Arts Emmys, which dished out a whole host of awards such as costuming and guest actors. The red carpet featured the Orange is the New Black nominated trio and I’m sure there will be more from this cast next week as the show is nominated along with Taylor Schilling and Kate Mulgrew.

Uzo AdubaUzo Aduba took home the award for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on OITNB beating out co-stars Laverne Cox and Natasha Lyonne. Aduba opted for a simple and super chic white Costume National V-neck frock and later accessorized it with a gold statue.

Natasha LyonneMonochrome was big on the Emmy red carpet in 2013 and Natasha Lyonne continues this trend by draping a white blazer over a black Calvin Klein dress. Glitzing the whole look up with vintage Cartier bracelets and a pendant necklace; this is the perfect balance of red carpet nonchalance with sophistication.

Laverne CoxContinuing the OITNB role call and it is Laverne Cox looking stunning in a sparkly strapless midnight-blue Donna Karan gown. Adding extra shimmer with a Marchesa gem-encrusted clutch, plus Neil Lane and Paul Morelli jewelry completes Cox’s red carpet win (sadly all three OITNB ladies couldn’t share the actual award).

Carrie+Brownstein+Arrivals+Creative+Arts+Emmy+0DW1tl6Ie0RlDitching the more traditional longer gown for a short Valentino frock is Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein (here with co-star Fred Armisen) and I love it. The intricate multicolored feathers and black beading detail elevate this from just being another LBD; pairing it with a Jimmy Choo hot pink ‘Candy’ clutch is the extra pop of color this look needs. This is the dress I would wear if money wasn’t a factor.

Judy GreerEveryone’s favorite rom-com best friend Judy Greer in a Reed Krakoff cocktail dress with an enticing geometric bodice; it is both super flattering and a playful twist on the usual black red carpet attire.

Movie premieres featuring TV husband and wife adorableness, street style, talk show appearances, a sneak peek at new web series and a HFPA event are all included in this edition of “Out of the Box.” Alas there is nothing from the Teen Choice Awards, but the sea of crop tops was kind of uninspiring and even Taylor Swift has been wearing better outfits when leaving the gym (and on The Tonight Show as you will see below).

Aubrey and ChrisOne thing that is always guaranteed to warm my heart is when cast members show their support for their co-stars other projects. Chris Pratt has of course had a huge week with the monstrous success of Guardians of the Galaxy so he is forgiven for ditching tailored suits – I think I like this rugged style better on him anyway – for a more relaxed look at the LA premiere of Aubrey Plaza’s Life After Beth. Plaza has been making some interesting red carpet choices recently and this floral lace Valentino frock is another one I love as both Plaza and her character April Ludgate continue to reign supreme here at TV Ate My Wardrobe.

Kate MaraThe color and cut of Kate Mara’s dress is pretty much my ideal (yellow is an ultimate clothing weakness). Paired with shades, a Coach bag, white Jil Sander buckled loafers and an iced drink makes effortless summer in the city styling.

taylor swiftTaylor Swift has turned leaving the gym into something of a catwalk and she delivered when visiting The Tonight Show earlier this week in a Bec & Bridge dress that is giving me all the long legged envy. Also the ability to walk in super stacked Prada sandals without stumbling/falling into an embarrassing heap. Still not sure about the shaggy, voluminous hair as it’s looking a touch bad ’80s, however the dash of pink lip color avoids being too matchy matchy with the similar shade on the dress. Jimmy continues the trend for striking purple ties this week.

It was announced earlier this week on Buzzfeed that the Veronica Mars team are coming back with a web series and creator Rob Thomas explains it “will have more in common with Party Down tonally, but it will be about Ryan Hansen, or at least a version of Ryan Hansen, deciding to capitalize on the current Veronica Mars heat to get his own series on the air.” This is terrific news as I need to find something to fill the Party Down hole in my life; Ryan Hansen shared a sneak look at what we can maybe expect from this show on his Instagram and it is glorious.

Kerry Washigton and Kristen BellOh hey, Veronica Mars! Kristen Bell with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a rather fetching companion at the HFPA Grants Banquet in LA. Kerry Washington’s strapless Mary Katrantzou floral number is sweet without entering saccharine territory; pairing it with pumps that have colorful edge makes me so happy. No beige shoes here.

The second season of Orange is the New Black was released on Netflix two months ago and it is still dominating discourse; this week’s “Out of the Box” includes creator Jenji Kohan as a cover star and the cast at a panel event- also check out this conversation with Laverne Cox. Plus we have other magazine covers to discuss, a Mad Men pair working on another project and effortless street style. All in all this is a very colorful edition of “Out of the Box” from H to T (head to toe for those non-America’s Next Top Model viewers).

Jenji KohanThe Hollywood Reporter produced two covers for their “New Disrupters” feature and while one provided jokes aplenty on Twitter thanks to Nic Pizzolatto’s critic ire and self-serious posing (Emily Yoshida’s Preserve model comment is spot on), it is Jenji Kohan’s stunning head shot and super colorful hair that really stands out. The studio shot photos are equally delightful as the leather jacket isn’t trying to portray ‘bad boy realness’ like this one and the print wrap dress paired with polka dot strappy heels are as fun as this shoot is. This isn’t to say that Kohan’s interview is fluff, far from it and it is one of the most honest I’ve read from someone in her position as she discusses gender inequality, how hard she has worked to get to where she is, issues on the set of Weeds and her current show Orange is the New Black.

Taylor SchillingThis outfit is so perfect and simple; the violet Roland Mouret ‘Timarcha’ dress paired with red pumps is a straight up style victory for Taylor Schilling at a panel discussion for Orange is the New Black this week.

Uzo AdubaAlso going for bold pumps and a purple hue is co-star Uzo Aduba. Instead of going for two block colors for footwear and frock the woven material includes an array of pinks, oranges and greens. It is a super adorable summery frock and while Schilling is killing it, I know which one I would rather wear for a sit down discussion panel.

Chris Pratt EsquireThe man of the hour and while the internet might be reaching peak Chris Pratt due to the success of Guardians of the Galaxy (which I loved) and how everything he does is treated with J-Law levels of adoration (pre-backlash) I am still here for all of this including the September issue of Esquire.

Christina Hendricks and John SlatteryMad Men co-stars Christina Hendricks and John Slattery were in London this week promoting the Slattery directed/Hendricks starring God’s Pocket and it’s always fun to catch up on the Mad Men cast in non-1960s threads. John Slattery has relaxed handsome silver fox dude down and I love Hendricks in this bold striped Vivienne Westwood dress (slightly related – there is a boutique I visit often just to peruse their Vivienne Westwood collection and look longingly at the fantastic necklines/colors). Hendricks gets extra points for the pop of lip color and Joan-esque updo.

Diane Kruger and Joshua JacksonSwapping the red carpet for a pair who is the epitome of cool summer in the city chic with Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger. Kruger is a sartorial queen both in couture and regular day wear like this floral strapless dress and sandals. Jackson’s rocking a not too deep-V, the perfect amount of beardy goodness and classic red Ray-Ban wayfarers.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

1 Aug

A week of movie premieres, one last Comic-Con shout out and the first in the Fall preview magazine covers in this edition of “Out of the Box.”

Karen GillanThe big movie opening this weekend is of course Guardians of the Galaxy and I adore Karen Gillan’s striking fuchsia Gucci dress at the London photocall. The leather Peter Pan collar spices the look up and I am forever in love with her pixie cut – I think I more bummed out by her long hair in the forthcoming Selfie than the terrible name of this show.

Aubrey Plaza Life After BethThe Parks and Recreation cast is killing it this season with anticipated movie projects during the hiatus; Life After Beth is on a much smaller scale and yet it is also taking up the same amount of “aaaaargh I really want to see it” space. Aubrey Plaza is getting not one, but two mentions today proving that it is not just April Ludgate that rates highly on the TV Ate My Wardrobe sartorial list. At the New York screening Plaza wears a beautiful Honor ivory frock with a gold accented tree design. It is both elegant and funky.

Aubrey PlazaEarlier that day Aubrey Plaza wore a cute Tanya Taylor gingham/floral print top pairing it with an edgier pleated leather skirt and flipping back to sweeter baby blue (super high) pumps. It’s a very cool daytime look and one I would like to try (probably switching out the heels for something not so stacked).

Tatiana MaslanyComic-Con has dominated the style posts and panel discussions this week and Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany took part in the Entertainment Weekly Women who Kick Ass” session in this delightful ensemble. It’s summer, but as Aubrey Plaza, Keri Russell and now Tatiana Maslany show you can still wear this fabric even in the warmest of climates. Maslany’s even gone for tights which might be a step too far into hot legs territory. The black and white stripe blouse narrowly escapes looking like a referee shirt and this is the epitome of cool casual for Comic-Con. And just look how smiley she is.

photo1 (1)Portlandia’s Carrie Brownstein covers the new issue of Bust and it makes me so glad that fall is coming if this is what it is going to be like. It is a bold, colorful cover and reminds me I need to catch up with Portlandia still (I’ve seen season 1). The interview covers the dissolution of her band Sleater-Kinney as well as the genesis of her current show and friendship with Fred Armisen. Brownstein is working on a memoir that is slated for release in 2015 and a cookbook inspired by Portlandia will be released in October (I love TV themed cookbooks, even if I buy them and never use them). It even tempts me to wear dungarees with a white tank, which is jumpsuit avoidance territory normally.

25 Jul

The TCA Summer Tour is over and Comic Con is in full flow; this edition of “Out of the Box” features a lot of the former and a hint of the latter.

Diane Kruger TCADiane Kruger is stunning in at The Bridge panel wearing Roksanda; a designer that always brings a pop of color and intrigue (Lizzy Caplan was a highlight in Roksanda last week). The color-blocking of the dress using an array of shapes makes it feel like the dress version of a toddler learning game and it is pretty mesmerizing.  Bold strappy two-tone pink and black Dior sandals add to yet another Kruger standout.

Michelle DockeryMichelle Dockery always brings her A game when promoting Downton Abbey and this Victoria Beckham Fall 2014 ensemble is delightful. Dockery manages to work the classics without falling into cliche “English Rose” territory by keeping things contemporary; the gold chain adds something to the simple navy top while not detracting from the abstract print of the skirt. Cool dark denim heels complete this look.

Mindy Kaling TCAAt the Fox All-Star party Mindy Kaling stands out in a jade green Tadashi Shoji dress and you can always rely on Kaling to wear something that will add a dash of color to proceedings. That or at least some sparkles. The cut is great on her and the minimal accessories/striking lipstick sets it off.

Michaela ConlinAnother super colorful outfit at the Fox All-Star with Bones’ Michaela Conlin pairing an electric blue sleeveless shift dress with a pair of bubblegum pink pumps. Hey, it is a summer party after all.

Caroline DhavernasWhen doing the promotional thing Comic Con is a little different outfit wise as while there is a huge audience, it is a much more casual attire affair and so it can be a tricky one (particularly for woman as dudes turn up in jeans and tees for regular photo calls as opposed to the much more put together female attire, I’ve ranted about this in the past).

Caroline Dhavernas’ Hannibal panel ensemble is cute and the seersucker shirt/patterned skirt has the hint of Alana Bloom if Alana was on vacation and drinking a cocktail. I also have worn the reverse of this outfit recently. While some information was revealed about Hannibal’s third season, there was no word as to what role (if any) Dhavernas will play. I’m hoping her presence at SDCC is a hint that she will be back.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

18 Jul

It’s the TCA (Television Critics’ Association) 2014 summer press tour and this means a whole host of red carpet events with stars from current and forthcoming shows. So this edition of “Out of the Box” is an all TCA affair featuring NBC, ABC and Showtime.

Lizzy Caplan TCAKicking off with Masters of Sex (which returned this week) and Lizzy Caplan looks amazing in a stunning Roksanda Spring 2014 ensemble. The flash of hot-pink is further accentuated by the electric-blue satin Brian Atwood pumps and Caplan continues to raise her red carpet game.

Caitlin FitzgeraldHoundstooth is on the same list as polka dots and yellow for me – the “instant adoration” list if you will – and so Caitlin Fitzgerald in a Michael Kors creation using this pattern is making me drool all over my keyboard. Not so sure about the shoes and a pop of lip color (electric pink to avoid the usual red) would give this extra points.

Betsy BrandtBetsy Brandt is one of several new faces on Masters of Sex this season (her character debuts this Sunday) and she knows how to stand out on the red carpet in a bold electric blue frock. This is a great color on her and I’m looking forward to seeing her in ’50s attire.

Casey WilsonOne of the few new sitcoms that didn’t make me eye roll through the preview is Marry Me and a lot of that has to do with Casey Wilson and Ken Marino. The black belting and neckline help break up what could be a super busy pattern (which I adore) and this is an ideal TCA dress as it’s cool without trying too hard/not enough.

Karen GillanKaren Gillan is going to be starring on a show called Selfie and while I kinda hate the name I’m hoping it goes the way of Trophy Wife (not the canceled part *sob*) in that it defies the awfulness of its title. Gillan is totally endearing so the show has that (and John Cho who is also wonderful) and I’m sad that she won’t be rocking her amazing pixie cut or Scottish accent – so far this is all about what I wish Selfie was doing. Anyway, this skirt/blouse combo is pure Gillan slightly off the wall styling and the exaggerated boxy sleeves might be too much for some, but they really work on her.

Viola DavisShonda Rhimes is dominating Thursday night on ABC with a triple block when How to Get Away with Murder debuts in the fall alongside Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy and I am thrilled Viola Davis leading this project. Davis is rocking a Helmut Lang leather bodice dress (complete with pockets) and the flash of snake print on the sleeves adds an extra pop (so I can ignore whatever those shoes are).

Katie FindlayBecause I am still in mourning about The Carrie Diaries cancellation (pretty much my favorite charming shows are all dunzo) I was glad to see the cast getting work from Bennett popping up on The Leftovers to Katie Findlay (Maggie in TCD) in the aforementioned How to Get Away with Murder. This isn’t the most exciting outfit, but it’s very cute and a safe TCA choice.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

11 Jul

Reactions to Emmy nominations, magazine editorials and cover stories are all part of this week’s edition of “Out of the Box” as the summer months continue to bring an eclectic mix to this column.

OITNBFor all the Emmy omissions that gave me rage face (The Americans, Tatiana Maslany, The Good Wife in the drama series category), I couldn’t stay mad for long thanks to the Orange is the New Black recognition with 12 nominations (and 5 of those across acting categories). The OITNB Twitter account posted this fun picture of the cast celebrating and while it is somewhat jarring to see actors in their working environment in regular attire, it is also a pleasure to see them like this.

Mindy KalingSadly not an Emmy nominee, instead Mindy Kaling looked incredible at 5.30 in the morning as one of the Emmy nomination announcers. Despite the early call time, Kaling doesn’t shy away from bold color and this red Escada dress is extra striking when paired with aqua blue pumps. I don’t think I’ve ever looked this good at this time in the morning.

Liv Tyler Violet GreyEmpire Records is the movie I watched on repeat in the summer of 1999 and I’m surprised this VHS didn’t end up an unplayable mess. Like a toddler with their favorite animated movie I couldn’t get enough and from that moment Liv Tyler earned super cool status points even if she fancied Rex Manning and couldn’t see the super hot cardigan wearing A.J. right in front of her. Anyway, I digress and what I’m trying to say is I’m so happy to see Liv Tyler on The Leftovers even if she is giving me all the hair envy. Tyler is also featured in the July issue of The Violet Files  on the beauty website Violet Grey and she is interviewed by fellow actress Eva Mendes. The outdoor shoot is really fun and has a somewhat 90s quality to it. I blame the blanket.

Lizzy CaplanLizzy Caplan looks very cool (even if she has the air of someone waiting to get picked up to go for lunch somewhere fancy) in a Victoria Beckham dress in the July issue of Vogue and this gives me the opportunity to a) cheer Caplan’s Emmy nomination and b) give another signal boost that Masters of Sex is back on Sunday.

Chris PrattChris Pratt’s Entertainment Weekly front cover is adorable and slightly silly, which is just the way I like to think of Pratt. This year has been pretty epic for Pratt what with The Lego MovieGuardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, which he is currently shooting. Not to mention Parks and Recreation and even though I know there’s a (CGI) raccoon in Guardians in my mind this is one of the many Pawnee raccoons that torment the residents of this town.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

4 Jul

It’s been a relatively quite week on the red carpet front so this week’s “Out of the Box” is a mixture of fall fashion campaigns, magazine covers and an awards show.

Kerry Washington D&GStarting off super summery with Kerry Washington in this gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana at the BET Awards. I’m a sucker for floral print and this one is ticking all the right boxes. The dress stands out and so there’s no need to clutter it with too much jewelry or bold makeup. Excellent white pump and bouncy hair game sets it off.

Kit HaringtonKit Harington is all smolder sadness face in Jimmy Choo’s fall campaign and this is a far cry from his Game of Thrones Night’s Watch threads. Why so serious, Jon Snow? (Other than all the obvious of course)

Harpers BazaarCovering the subscriber edition of the August issue of UK Harper’s Bazaar is a trio of Downton Abbey ladies with Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery and Lily James all wearing stunning Valentino gowns from the pre-fall 2014 collection.

Michelle DockeryMichelle Dockery also gets a solo cover (this is the regular edition) in a close up shot that reveals the exquisite and intricate feather shoulder detail on this Valentino dress.

Downton AbbeyInside the issue more of the Downton ladies also get to join in with the fancy frock dressing including Phyllis Logan, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol, Raquel Cassidy, Elizabeth McGovern and Joanne Froggatt. They all look elegant and timeless in gowns that take a step away from the period the show is set in while still having a sartorial influence. Head here to read a discussion with the cast as they talk influence, the family atmosphere on set and the roles for women on this show and in general.

Happy 4th of July weekend! Make sure you dig out your best anchor blazer à la Amity Island’s Mayor Larry Vaughn.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week

27 Jun

It’s another red carpet “Out of the Box” with plenty of premieres and a special visit delivering some excellent looks. As the previous edition focused entirely on the Critics’ Choice Awards, there are going to be a few photos from other events that took place last week.

GoT the QueenOne significant and unusual public appearance from this week involved the Queen (on a trip around Northern Ireland) visiting the set of Game of Thrones and meeting some of the cast – yes I really hope Lena Headey is explaining just who Cersei is – including a statuesque Sophie Turner, a newly bobbed Maisie Williams (sadly not in this picture), Rose Leslie in a dress I adore, Kit Harington looking dapper and Conleth Hill with a lot more hair than his character. The Queen didn’t sit on the Iron Throne, but she was presented with a miniature version and seemed rather amused by the whole thing. Maybe she does watch the show after all (someone find out what’s on the Buckingham Palace DVR please).

Diane KrugerThe Bridge returns for season 2 next month (July 9) and I’m looking forward to the return of the show (plus this jacket) and all the Diane Kruger public appearances as she rarely has a sartorial off day. Yellow pumps and polka dots are pretty much my catnip so this was always going to be a winner even with the cropped aspect. I really like the slightly different sized dotty effect of the Roland Mouret top and skirt. Both hair and makeup are looking fresh and relaxed.

Ellie KemperEllie Kemper looks super cute in a Pankaj and Nidhi printed dress and blue flats – maybe this look needs heels, but I am all for Kemper’s choice – at the The Came Together premiere.

America FerreraIt feels like America Ferrera has been promoting How to Train Your Dragon 2 for months now, however she has delivered on the red carpet looks time and time again (she’s been an “Out of the Box” regular). This time she’s looking summer chic in a Dolce & Gabbana white lace dress. Kim Sears wore a similar (but much more affordable) version of this dress by Reiss at Wimbledon on Monday.

Keri RussellKeri Russell delivers a different kind of summer style at the Coach Summer Party and the leather mini/striped tank combo is an excellent one. Stripes really are the key to relaxed and funky outfits. Love the dash of pink lip color.

Lean Headey and Matthew RhysAt the top I mentioned some of these events are from last week, well this is a couple of weeks old and yet I really wanted to include this shot from the Variety Studio day as I really love Lena Headey’s super cool casual three quarter length denims and pale blue shirt look. Lena Headey is one of these people who looks amazing dressed up, but her dressed down style is where she shines. Matthew Rhys is also rather suave even if he is in an awkward facial hair phase (which is so much better at the Critics’ Choice Awards).

Gwendoline+Christie+Inside+Fragrance+Foundation+ck0BpOiDS8RlMore Game of Thrones cast members (and I’m finally all caught up) with Gwendoline Christie serving up some flamingo realness in Giles at the 2014 Fragrance Foundation Awards. This is a really fun dress and I love that at 6ft 3in, Christie is still wearing heels.

Out of the Box: Look of the Week Best – 2014 Critics’ Choice TV Awards

20 Jun

Dedicating this edition of Out of the Box to last night’s Critics’ Choice Awards and it is a very solid effort as the nearly twenty red carpet shots I have ready for you guys will testify. This is the first glitzy affair in the TV awards season since the Golden Globes and SAGs back in January and hopefully some of these winners (*cough* Tatiana Maslany/OITNB *cough*) will receive Emmy nominations next month.

Laverne Cox CC

Danielle Brooks

Uzo AdubaStarting with an Orange is the New Black trio with Laverne Cox, Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba all looking super glamorous in gowns with a hint of sparkly in a variety of styles. They picked up awards for Best Comedy Series and Uzo Aduba won for Best Guest Star in a Comedy with Kate Mulgrew tying with Allison Janney in the supporting category. I finished season 2 of OITNB this week and I expect the accolades will continue for these talented women.

Keri Russell and Diane KrugerAn FX duo getting to dress way fancier than the characters they play and Diane Kruger’s multicolored floral Elie Saab gown plays well against the metallic reptile looking J Mendel dress Keri Russell is wearing. I also never realized Diane Kruger was this tall, although who knows the height of their heels beneath their frocks.

Abbi and IlanaBroad City has been one of THE shows of 2014 so having Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer at this awards show is a must. Picking out the perfect outfit in the episode “Fattest Assess” comes to mind when picturing how they chose their dresses, as it’s pretty much my favorite shopping montage scene that wasn’t. Abbi is wearing a Cushnie et Ochs baby blue peplum frock and Ilana is in Prabul Gurung and they both look amazing.

Tatiana MaslanyTatiana Maslany is also wearing Cushnie et Ochs with a different play on the asymmetric overlay style that Jacobson is rocking as this is less peplum and more floaty thanks to the longer length. It’s a really simple and elegant look and I can’t tell you how happy it makes me that she chose a red pump over anything in the beige region. Maslany won for Orphan Black for the second year in the row, will the Emmys finally follow suit with a nomination?

Lizzy CaplanA butterfly covered Valentino gown for Lizzy Caplan and an easy highlight of the evening. Digging the side swept hair too.

Carrie BrownsteinThe top half of Carrie Brownstein’s dress is a little Star Trek (not a bad thing) and I can’t get over how radiant her smile is. Great lip color and silver heels to make this more than just an LBD.

Kat GrahamKat Graham is never boring on the red carpet and on this occasion this translates into a fabulous outfit. Opting for a navy Escada suit with mirrored detail on the jacket she also gets the amount of plunge right.

Allison JanneyPicking up two awards (for Mom and Masters of Sex) Allison Janney chose the right color to wear and she looks radiant in gold.

AnnetThis is a lot of tulle and Annet Mahendru from The Americans pulls both this and the sheer factor off without looking like she is going to prom.

Emmy RossumRocking magenta is Emmy Rossum in Monique Lhuillier and her turquoise statement Sutra earrings stops it from looking too saccharine.

Matthew RhysNow to the guys and Matthew Rhys gets points for both his beard and striped tie.

Zach WoodsIt might seem like he is in everything at the moment – not complaining – and Zach Woods looks half awkward/half adorable; so of course he deserves to be included in this feature.

MessinaChris Messina pulls off the hands in pockets, loosened tie partly because he is Chris Messina and in this moment he is looking very much how his character Danny Castellano would look at an event like this.

Matt BomerEnding with Matt Bomer seems like the appropriate way to finish “Look of the Week” as I don’t think there is anyone who wears a tux better. Bomer also deservedly won for The Normal Heart and I hope we will be seeing more of him on the awards circuit for this role.
