Paris played a very important part in the relationship of Sydney Bristow and Will Tippin on Alias and it was also the setting for an Alias reunion at the weekend. At the Atelier Versace Haute Couture fashion show on Sunday (July 3) Jennifer Garner and Bradley Cooper caught up while taking in the stylish sights (Garner wore Versace to to the Oscars this year). Yes there’s a lot of feelings going on here because while Vaughn was Sydney’s OTP I was always partial to Will and Syd; their season 3 hookup is one of my favorite Alias moments as it played on both the sadness of this moment and the history between these two characters. Plus any occasion where they wore disguises together was always a hoot.
Also here is that best Will Tippin moment from the aforementioned S1 in gag reel form.
Alias Reunion in Paris
4 JulWet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp New Poster and Trailer
2 JulQuick confession – I have not seen Wet Hot American Summer (I know) and I’ve now got just under a month to rectify this before the prequel series lands on Netflix. It doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense that it passed me by for a number of reasons including the Bradley Cooper phase I went through as a result of marathoning Alias – I even own Kitchen Confidential. The rest of the cast is made up of people to draw hearts around (Garofalo! Rudd! Poehler! Banks!) and really there is no excuse for this personal oversight.
Netflix has released not only a full length star studded trailer but also a fantastic and also star studded poster riffing on the original artwork.
Watch the trailer below and just let it been known I am now strongly coveting denim high waisted flares thanks to Elizabeth Banks.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp will be available on Netflix Friday, July 31 and before then watch the original 2001 movie, also on Netflix. I know I will be.
Behind the Insta-Scenes: Photos from the Set
19 FebSaturday Night Live celebrated its 40th anniversary with a 3-hour plus show including many famous faces and it was well documented behind the scenes thanks to numerous Instagram posts. This is a SNL “Behind the Insta-Scenes” special with shots from during the show, in the audience and at the after party.
Prince continues his tour of making famous people lose their shit (see also the Golden Globes and Grammys) and Questlove captured this amazing shot of both Prince and the amount of people taking his photo at the post show bash.
Maya Rudolph was on stage with Prince during that performance and I like to think this giddy shot is a delayed reaction to this. This also sums up how I feel about Maya Rudolph; she is magic.
This is one of many photos Taran Killam shared (and they’re worth checking out) from his SNL 40 experience and it is right in the midst of the action.
And here is an adorable one from when it was all over.
An Ally McBeal reunion and Lucy Liu picked her date well.
That’s a pretty good seat Lucy Liu has and she captured the crazy crowded SNL stage.
Bradley Cooper looks a lot like He-Man in his Californians getup backstage with Kerry Washington.

The 70s and Gilda Radner look suits Emma Stone.
Thankfully there is not a selfie stick in sight.
Elephant Man Broadway Opening Night Arrivals: Couples and Coats
8 DecStarting the week off with a coat heavy post because it is cold and I need some outerwear pretty for this brr Monday morning. I would normally save these looks for “Out of the Box” but there is too much couple cuteness to wait until Friday. Bradley Cooper and Patricia Clarkson are starring in the Broadway production of The Elephant Man at the Booth Theater and here are some of the stylish folks who attended the opening night show on Sunday.
Emily Blunt’s Dolce & Gabbana coat is a beauty as is her Marios Schwab frock and husband John Krasinski is doing the whole coat/knitwear/shirt combo I adore so much.
Opting for a slightly smarter suit/coat pairing is John Hamm with Jennifer Westfeldt continuing the coat/tights trend. The brief color injection thanks to the slight flash of yellow on Westfeldt’s heels and it is what this all black ensemble needs.
Another couple, another good collection of outerwear and while Rose Byrne could be wearing the brightest frock underneath her coat from here she is also sticking to a dark attire look. Yes this is very much tights season. Bobby Cannavale’s not gone full suit with tie and I can’t help but feel he could do with a scarf or something.
Blazer and pants for The Affair’s Ruth Wilson – she is also about to star on Broadway with Jake Gyllenhaal in Constellations – breaking the lady trend of the evening and I love this relaxed yet super stylish approach. Plus those two-tone purple and pink heels are crying out my name; coveting hard even if shoes like this destroy my feet.
